Yeah, that's definitely how you, theprestige and smartcooky's posts come across for sure. It's absolutely not a temper tantrum.

Make no mistake, I encourage it. I love watching it. The forum hasn't changed at all but smartcooky is here yelling at everyone and he's made new friends while doing it, while, by his own claim, his old friends are betraying him. It's not that he's using right wing sources, or bleeds that dumb mother ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ thread into everything because his life revolves around transgender people. Nope, that can't be it. It's that everyone else is changing, everyone else is always the problem.

Also, I'd like to point out that its really easy to be "accurate" when you completely suppress or don't report things at all. Take for example, the recent anti-Semitism incident at the University of Central London...

We have today issued a robust statement following reports of antisemitic comments made during a student-organised event held on campus earlier this week.

“I am utterly appalled by these heinous antisemitic comments. Antisemitism has absolutely no place in our university, and I want to express my unequivocal apology to all Jewish students, staff, alumni, and the wider community that these words were uttered at UCL.​

“The individual responsible is a former fixed-term researcher at UCL, but not a current member of UCL staff. We have reported this incident to the police and have banned her from campus. We have launched a full investigation into how this happened and have banned the student group which hosted it from holding any further events on campus pending the outcome of this.​

The story won't have have comported with the their pro-Islam, pro-Palestine, anti-Israel chosen narratives. Its lying by omission!

As I said, its easy to claim accuracy and lack of bias in your reporting when you don't report things at all...

I can see two reasons why the BBC hasn't put this on atheir web site.

1) After their recent experience they may be reluctant to base a story based on selective and edited quotes from an anti-Palestinian pressure group.
2) It is a trivial story, someone who is a US citizen, not an employee of the godless college (UCL), gave a talk to a student group (Jews for Palersdtine, probably a few dozen students attended. It doesn't deserve to be a national news story. It is regrettable that the outcome is that a Jewish student group has been banned.
 
It doesn’t seem to have been run by many outlets, perhaps the question to ask is why the papers that did run it ran it?

It doesn't seem to have been picked up by the other major outlets either, left or right.

BTW: The unattributed screenshots seems to be from allsides.com which states "AllSides has low or initial confidence in this bias rating" on their Guardian page.

UCL predates the University of London.

It was never called the University College of London or the University of Central London.

The substance of the debate is the only thing that really matters. If someone gets spelling or grammar wrong, or they were not holding their tongue in the exact right way, it does NOT negate the substance or the facts a debate.

I wrote "University of Central London" instead "University College London"... SO ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ WHAT? The sources I posted had it correct, and I linked to the website of the actual college in question. Only a complete moron would lack the intelligence to work out the mistake and get it right!

Pedantry about spelling and grammar is a way to distract from the substance of the issue, usually because the pedant in question finds the topic uncomfortable, or the topic seriously impacts their deeply held dogmatic worldview, or they have nothing to bring to the table and they know it.

Teaching anti-Semitism to students in a place of higher learning, in the UK's biggest city, and its capital, is a trivial story. Got it!
I would have thought with the current situation in Gaza, a story that involves spreading hatred of Jews at a University would be a story worth publishing for any media outlet

Of course, if the media outlet in question is pro-Islam, anti-Jewish and has for the last several years, stuck rigidly to a pro-Palestine - anti Israel narrative regardless of any evidence, then they may not wish to counter their own narrative. It could be embarrassing for them.

That would be regrettable if it were true... fortunately, it is not true. They have understandably been barred from holding any more events until the investigation is completed. However, Dr Masqui has been banned, and rightly so.
