Here's a nifty thing.

Enter your postcode under Census Data - Quick Stats Search and you can see info about your area.
In my locale, here's the religion stats:

No Religion is leading the way, which is a relief, since we're still more religious than Victoria as a whole.
My boyfriend was once in Australia during the census. He was on a boat in the Great
Barrier Reef. They came around handing out census forms, insisting that everyone fill one out. Even he and his traveling companions, both of them US Citizens in Australia for two weeks total. Bizarre. At least they didn't make them vote!
You sure do rule, Pharaoh!![]()

Score!
That would be Religion by Age by Sex, but I haven't found it yet (I've been looking). It may not be released yet.
But I get ABS release emails daily, and will be keeping an eye out for more data.
You linked to Religion by Age by Sex in post #37, but only for males.
I haven't checked, but I suspect the data by post code is the 2006 data. I'd be surprised if last year's data is available at that level.
Surprise!
It's 2011 data.
Why are young people less religious than older people
a. Older people 'find' religion as they get older
b. Young people are finding out that religion offers them little and will probably never be religious.
I didn't catch this study myself. Do you have a reference to it?
LOL. You are very funny.
I made this while watching the footy. It's easy to share around now, so feel free.
