Atheists destroy churches, attack the faithful

Actually, atheists are spending time bickering with each other because your premise is so thoroughly debunked that no-one is bothering with it any more.

Who would have thought that atheists can't agree on something?

well certainly claiming that it is debunked is actually easier than debunking it. Unfortunately most "atheists" have not been debunking it, they have been apologists in favor of it. Indeed, take a look at this post:

"Yeah, it is. But the idea that you think that this is characteristic of atheism rather than an activity of the totalitarian government of China is even more appalling."

Criticizing atheists is "more appalling" than actual human rights atrocities.

And each time you repeat this lie, I will repeat the debunk of the lie. Because apparently I have infinite patience.

"Criticising atheists" is not appalling. Heck, I criticise atheists all the time. Again, just ask Thor2 and Argumemnon.

Misattributing atrocities to atheism instead of the real cause, which is authoritarian cultural imperialism, distracts from the true cause and thereby implicitly condones them. And the fact that you can do that and still think that you are being honest is appalling. The fact that by your lies you can condone and contribute to the perpetuation of the horrible events that you claim to be so concerned about, and that you try so very hard to shift the blame to atheists, is appalling.

But you're utterly incapable of recognising truth, so how about we just sit back and watch the hot atheist-on-atheist action?

uh-huh.

walk us through what is less appalling than "the idea that you think that this is characteristic of atheism rather than an activity of the totalitarian government of China."

My suggestion is that it is "China’s government is ratcheting up a crackdown on Christian congregations in Beijing and several provinces, destroying crosses, burning bibles, shutting churches and ordering followers to sign papers renouncing their faith, according to pastors and a group that monitors religion in China."

So what I "think" is more appalling than "China’s government is ratcheting up a crackdown" on religion. Thoughts?

walk us through...
I just did.

'k. "Misattributing" atrocities to atheism is worse than putting a million people in a reeducation camp.

The fact that I "can do that and still think that you are being honest is" appalling... more appalling than "China’s government is ratcheting up a crackdown on Christian congregations in Beijing and several provinces, destroying crosses, burning bibles, shutting churches and ordering followers to sign papers renouncing their faith, according to pastors and a group that monitors religion in China."

Just confirming where the outrage lies.

Internet post much more appalling than actual human rights atrocities.

Check!

It is indeed appalling that you can so thoroughly and so maliciously twist the words I am saying to fit your own false narrative. It shows everybody exactly your level of intellectual honesty.

Are you doing it just to be nasty, or do you actually believe the things that you are saying?

I am literally quoting your words.

If it were me, I would be less appalled about my posts than, you know, putting a million people in camps?

If it were me, and we were talking about actual human rights abuses, I would not use the word appalling to refer to an internet post.

Example, if we were talking about a million people with dysentery I probably would not post that I was appalled that my waitress gave me water that was lukewarm.

Reasonable minds can differ tho.

I am literally quoting your words.
And adding your own spin on them, which distorts their meaning according to your anti-atheist ideological interpretation.

You're trying to imply that I, as an atheist, are in some way responsible or complicit in the Chinese government's crackdown on dissidents. That is highly offensive, extremely false, and as far as I can tell, deliberately malicious.

There are only two possible interpretations for your behaviour in this thread: malice, or stupidity. I make no comment on which of those I believe to be most accurate.

If you had any interest at all in "talking about actual human rights abuses" you would have opened this thread in Social Issues & Current Events or Non-USA & General Politics, and you would have left out the ridiculous ZOMG ATHEISTS thing.

You're fooling no one.

Oh dear. I see... no, no, you are not responsible or complicit in causing them.

Your arguments are simply deliberately minimizing the harm and apologetics for the atrocities, while expressing outrage about posts on the internet.

Perhaps I am the one in the wrong... perhaps... well perhaps I was wrong all along. Perhaps the real wrong are not documented human rights atrocities in China... perhaps posts pointing out actual human rights atrocities in China are the real human rights atrocities... i think I have learned so very much about the harm that posts on the internet can do... what have I done...

Now you're just projecting.

Oh! The sarcasm cuts me deep. A palpable hit, sir, a very palpable hit. I am in awe of your snark. I have obviously been deeply misled - I can see the light now. I'm going to rush off and join the Catholic Church immediately and join in the good fight against those evil horrible atheists!

Seriously. Snark and sarcasm does nothing to aid your argument.

No, it's not very different. Usually wars in the name of national security are also based on weapons of mass deception: fictious attacks, false flag operations and other lies. I have no beef with your quarrel with TBD.

Of course again. Intolerance and belicism are alike in many respects. But I was speaking about the difference between ideological principles and their particular consequences. For exemple, fanaticists supporters of a charismatic lider need look for justification for him. Fanaticists believers in a god don't search for justification of his dog, because a god is always raight even when he commands you to kill your son (Abraham syndrome).

I know you maintain the irrelevance of ideologies. I don't agree.

I can't believe you're so ******* you don't realize you're making a fool of yourself.

If someone is telling you clearly A, why do you insist on he is saying B? Do you think that others are not reading what is written? Astonishing.

Making a note here: The Big Dog is against putting people in concentration camps. Might be relevant to some other stuff going on in the world right now.

We atheists do tend to get to bickering about minutia when the OP's claims have been shown to be thoroughly without merit so well that there is nothing left about them to discuss, don't we? It would certainly be refreshing to have some claim from that quarter that couldn't be shown false within seconds and even perhaps worthy of discussion.

According to official party propaganda outfits where you get the "information" you have posted in this thread?

Pravda maybe?

It is amusing how many times you deliberately miss the point, and then pretend you're making some kind of valid argument.
As you well know, I quoted from a government-approved website in response to your claim that every single religious believer in China was subject to an internet crackdown. This would include followers of state-approved religions, such as those on that website.
As you also know full well, I have used information from my personal experience in China, and even your own sources, to counter your dishonest and invalid claims.
Wishing away all my other posts won't make them disappear. Perhaps your god can erase them from the thread, as a demonstration of his mighty powers, and his concern for his followers? It's probably the only thing that will save you.

Indeed. Poor, working class Catholic families being torn apart and warehoused in concentration camps. I'm appalled at the human rights violations going on.
