Alright fellow infidels, what can we do this year to make war on Christmas and generally be Scroogy and Grinchy?

If you need some inspiriation, Fox Nation has a webpage dedicated to the War on Christmas. I'm sure you can find some great ideas there!

For example, you could follow the lead of our Socialist Muslim president and send "Holiday Cards" that say "Season's Greetings" and don't mention Christmas.

Or if you're gay, you can make war on Christmas by putting on a gay-themed Christmas play and thereby ruining Christmas for straight people! You know, just like gay people getting married ruins marraige for straight people!

So let's get cracking infidels!

I'm with Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson: Never make war on a holy day, unless it turns out to be an opportune day to make war. In that case, make war, and then observe the holy day on the following day instead.

I'd like to help, but unfortunately for some reason every year at this time I find myself without any campaign funds to contribute
Its not xmas anyway, its Zagmuk

On Christmas Day I plan on riding my motorcycles in my church while listening to Black Sabbath.

Will that help on the home front?

As an atheist that celebrates Christmas, I will be sending out Christmas cards.

As I mentioned in another thread, my kid was in the holiday play at his UU church on Sunday. In the play, baby Jesus was put up for adoption because Mary and Joseph were too young and unemployed. The adoptive parents were gay.... and were Santa Clause and The Grinch.

I feel like I've done my War on Christmas part this year just by attending.

That's the Spirit! Above and beyond the call of duty! :newlol

The comments section is filled with frothy diatribe.

There is a "floating theory" that liberals really do not like kids. At least they are not crazy about the responsibility that having kids demands. I never put much stock into until recently. They are destroying EVERYTHING that once made being a child tolerable and fun!

Edited to add another:

In the spirit of 'revive the economy capitalist day', I hereby commandeer Christmas and make it into Capitalmas Day! I'll be shopping to celebrate. Won't you all join me?

Have to second that, funding aroud here is always about as short as the days are at this time of year.

Besides, the only "war" I've ever seen on Christmas is all the insincere faux-to-real-rancor about people of other faiths or no faith at all.

No wars for me, thanks. I'd like a little peace over the holiday season--maybe even some good will toward men, women, children, and other living breathing things.

I know, overall, it's a break with US tradition, but I'm willing to go out on a limb and try it.

If you're serious, that is hands down the funniest thing I've heard in recent memory.

2 questions:

How many motorcycles can you ride while listening to Black Sabbath?

How do you get your own church?

Feh. Slowpokes. I'm already planning the Battle for Easter.

What, you've got something against chocolate and peeps?

I'm more of a mind to petition for more holidays than less. Think about it: more time off, more good food, more excuses to dress up...where is the downside to any of this?

I'd rather make love to Christmas. Sweet tree-decorating, present-buying, gift-wrapping, cookie-baking, big hot dinner looooooove.

...if Christmas would just return my calls, we could get this love-fest AWN BAYBEE!

*click* Hello, this is Christmas. I'm afraid I'm out at the moment, but if you'd like to leave a message after the beep, I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

*beep*
