Are We More Than Just a Machine?

Are you going to answer my question in a meaningful way for a change, or are you completely incapable of coherent communication ? I repeat:

What do you expect to accomplish by posting the same "arguments" for so long ? Do you expect to "convert" anyone ? Did you have any "results" so far ?
You have no idea who you're talking to. The same goes for this other "sorry" jackass.

Freeze the crackpipe oh my mighty omnipotent singular ram, and answer Greco's question (now that you refused to answer mine).

Believing in superstition to give a pretend meaning to existence.

Humans give meaning to the universe. That is what we do and that is what we are. We might not be alone. Primates and other species might also give some meaning however obviously limited. There might also be other life forms out there (see hitchhikers guide to the galaxy). Now I could make that my religion and give me some hope of being saved by some intergalactic hitchhiker but that would be pointless.
Ah, but if it all came from the same place -- there's only one universe isn't there? -- why are we so hardpressed to figure it out? We are just as much a part ot "it" as anything else.

I don't have a clue what you are on about. Science has *steadily been figuring "it" out for centuries in spite of all the religious know it alls who proclaim everything the "realm" of god. Many of whom hampered the advancement of science. What is it that you think we haven't figured out?

*"Steadily" I think would suggest linear, exponentially might be better.

It sounds to me like you already have your answer. Do you really expect a reply from me?

And did you notice how quickly this thread got derailed? Psssst. Don't tell anyone, but the bitch is in heat ...

Oh, well, you didn't expect me to materialize something out of thin air did you?

It got derailed because you refused to answer a simple question: What is it that exists in humans beyond mechanics?

Then you refused to answer all the other questions asked. Your way of debating is extremely spurious.

Edit: didn't see your post MdC; I echo'd you apparently.

{sigh} I'm not dogmatic. I'm capable of changing my mind. I don't come here to be right. Though I might come here at times to prove myself right. I acknowledge my ego.

In all honesty, if you have a relevant point or argument then state it. Being vague and mysterious will solve nothing.

YES, I really expect a reply from you. Otherwise, what is the point?

Regardless, anything and everything which has been said, doesn't change anything.

By the way, the spirit is very much like the wind ... You know not from whence it comes nor, whence it goes.

It doesn't change anything either.

What's my point? According some around here I don't even have a point. So, what's your point? :con2:

Ok Ivanhoe, how is miss Piggy doing these days? ..Don't forget to put the blue windshield behind the green one. You know, a disaster that would become otherwise! Also, say hello to Mickey Mouse and Goofy from me. Hi-Hoe Silver, awaaaaaaay!

I can quote the verse and chapter if you like but, I don't feel like looking it up at this point. ;)

Which episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus would we be talking about then?

What won't? Being vague or stating a relevant argument?

What's my point? According some around here I don't even have a point.
Do you live your life by what other think or believe?

So, what's your point?
To get you to state a rational point or a rational argument.

How about the one where they were climbing up the street? Now that was funny! :D
