While I agree with you, you seem to forget that troofers work with the opposite assumption. In their minds the world is full of "government shills", "gatekeepers" and generally people who will do everything as long as the money's right.

The mind of a troofer must be a scary place. I certainly wouldn't want to live there.

You know, this reminds me of a lot of religious people, who think that people in general would be quite willing to rape, murder and steal if they weren't restrained by the fear of god. It makes me wonder if they themselves are sitting there just wishing they could do all that.

Perhaps the Troothers are the same way. If we offered them a few bucks, what would they be willing to do? Maybe all their ire arises from feeling left out of the money loop.

NSA was secret from 1949 ish -1980 something. People would mentioned it were dismissed as paranoid conspiracy theroists. CIA overthrow of IRAN was not declassified until the 1990's. It would have been important for Americans to know about it during the 1979-1980 hostage crises, dont'cha think? Same thing with the others, kept secret for decades.

the US is a representative democracy/presidential republic, germany in 1933 was a parliamentary republic becoming outright totalitarianism, i fail to see the similarity

BTW, when did congress transfer legislative authority to bush's cabinet and subsequently cease to exist?

Er, not quite.

The NSA was created by presidential directive on November 4, 1952. That directive was classified.

The existence of the NSA itself was classified from 1952 until 1957, when it was first mentioned publically by the US government.

Until the mid-1980s, the fact that the NSA existed was about all that was officially public. For example, the NSA headquarters in Ft. Meade, Maryland, were not labelled until the late 1980s, nor were NSA employees permitted to identify the organization for which they worked. (Instead, they simply said that they worked for "the government" or something.)

And in 5 years, you don't have an answer. What have you been doing all this time? Posting on forums? Get out there and find the answer! Talk to first-hand sources yourself. Write to the companies that inspected the debris. Call a demolitions company, a physicist, a structural engineer. Yourself, not just links to a webpage.

And by an answer, I mean not just as per the source of energy, but also the method by which it was applied. This information would be known as "evidence". "Evidence" is required for an idea to be scientific, at which point it is called a "theory".

Until then, the popular term for it is "fiction".

Back-of-envelope, yeah. I did it for Mutton-Head back in the day -- poor, confused, scientifically awkward, but still miles more reasonable than the ever-dodging TruthSeeker1234.

I was going to reveal it after TruthSeeker1234 demonstrated his ignorance in depth, but I guess I don't have to do that. Let me go find it for you.

ETA: Here it is -- http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1662808#post1662808. Oh, be careful, I have a minor typo on the units of g, should be meters per second2, I just screwed that up when I introduced the number. The calculation itself is correct.

The Deniers need to get it through their heads that, unless they come up with new and better arguments, we've seen and refuted it all before...
