Any 'pro-Palestinian' atheists here?

Davefoc, if you don't make an effort to read the posts and reply to them, there really isn't a point for you to post anymore.

You still make fallacious claims about the military grants/aid Israel receives, framing it as giveaways. Being skeptic is your right, no doubt, but if you keep making the same claims, ignoring those replies that rebut your position(s), this isn't skepticism, but merely ignorance.

Nobody is arguing the 'Jews-first' or the 'special relationship' besides you and Parky. You, however, have consistently, and not unsurprisingly, been pushing the Palestinian Arabs in their entirety as the indigenous group in the region in question, and the sole claimants to land there. This has also been discussed extensively, but as with the military grants/aid argument, you ignore replies to it.

And lastly, stating that Israel's influence in US politics should be removed regarding this conflict, whilst stating nothing about the Arab bloc's influence, including those of the Palestinians, displays your support of the isolationist policy that the Arab bloc has been pushing for decades already.

Response?

Well, that makes it soooooo much better.

Hyperbole is your only strength!

Can't criticize the PA without throwing a dig at the US? Do you assume I support "3 strikes" laws just because I'm American? You think every state has such laws? Do you think Illinois does?

If you are going to criticize stupid laws then look in your own back garden first.

I have enough understanding of it to know petty squabbles with another poster pale in comparison to real-life atrocities. You, not so much eh?

No, you don't. Muslims and brown people dont seem to be allowed human rights to a lot of people round these ways.

except the posts you always handwave towards (somewhere in the past) simply do not rebut anything. They just make further (often quite funny) claims. You think you can handwave a giveaway out of the discussion by making some strange claim that the US giving stuff away is good for the US economy? So what....even if that rather bizzare claim were fact it would not change the fact that US gifts to Israel are giveaways.

you really need to cease the practice of posting rambling wall-o-text responses then constantly refering back to them claiming they rebut something. Nobody is "ignoring" your replies...they are being dismissed because they lack substance.

I hold both sides to the same standard. I think that both sides have committed terrible wrongs against each other. I'm Jewish, but I don't support either side. I'm just hoping that they stop bickering and start organizing some legitimate peace treaties.

oh, so you no longer believe that Israel should recieve any special treats and goodies from the USA, as part of the "special relationship?

I'll let the American representative to the UN know that he no longer has to vote "NO" or abstain from all votes against Israel in the UNSC.

I'd refute your points, if you had actually made any.

We have a special relationship with all of our allies.

;):p

when's the last time we gave $3 billion in free stealth aircraft to Ireland, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, Iceland, Poland, France, Spain, Italy, etc...etc..

....etc.

Looks like we have a "super-special relationship" with Israel.

I'm pretty sure we've spent far, far more in most of those countries than we have in Israel. All those bases aren't cheap.

What country? There was no country of Palestine at the time. The first time it became a country in the modern sense was under the British, who divided the defeated Ottoman empire up and parceled it out to various tribal monarch families. How is the state of Israel any less legitimate than Jordan, Iraq or Saudi Arabia? The Jews seem to be the only people in the region that didn't make a complete arse out their new-found sovereignty.

there was more a country of palestine than there was a Israel.

but i see, you would not even think one second of splitting up your country and give half of it to other people. But you expect other to welcome something like that. Funny that there are so many Australian and US people that support Israel so one sided without any questioning.

It's Jews.

You forget, say, India, the Persian Gulf states, or Southern Asia -- those countries, like South Korea, who supported the evil imperialist expansionist neo-colonialist Americans, I mean. (For some strange reason all those countries who used their liberation to embrace Communism failed. Isn't that surprising?)

All have their own problems, some quite big -- as does Israel -- but you can't say they are failed states or thuggish dictatorships.

oh common you are paranoid, you have your country other people that are not jews are still waiting for their independence. like Native American Peoples or Aborigines.

Britain was the legal owner of Palestine. The whole Middle East got split up and given to people. Strangely, the complaints are all directed at the tiniest of them all, the one that happens to be Jewish. Keep in mind that the Arabs rejected the offer of a majority of the land. They rejected the offer of a shared Jerusalem. Hindsight tells us that was a piss-poor decision. They'll never get an offer that good again.

But let's assume the Arabs were justified in attempting to kill all the Jews and take their stuff. One of those "understandable reactions" no doubt. The plan failed. They got their asses kicked every time. Plan B?
