No one is clear headed just after waking up from a deep sleep. It was 4am and the notification from the power company woke you up. So the event had pretty much passed by the time you were aware of it failing.
The neighbor that was awake heard nothing and apparently didn't note anything unusual beyond losing power.
My take is that the power had been shorted by a cause that they knew well how to find and fix. The flash of light and the scan are the same event and you had not seen your yard at night under only moonlight in a long time.
Of course it looked off to you. Moonlight and the clouds moving could have caused a shadow to move across the yard creating a scan effect but I rather doubt that for the timing of the power surge.
No alien, ion drive or supernatural event required at all.
Or it was alien teens out smashing mailboxes in the Milky Way galaxy after a
night of drinking. The realized the iSaucer battery was low and dad would notice do they did a quick recharge blowing out your power. Then looked for a bar code to scan in your yard and zipped back before dad would see they took the iSaucer out.
One is more plausible than the other.
Anyone else, when did antigravity drive get replaced by ion drive in the world of UFOlogy? Whom is behind this discovery of the change in technology they use?
