These days I am here for entertainment an amusement, mostly. And you are doing a bang-up job of keeping me amused, for which I thank you. Discovered long ago that trying to talk sense to loonies is a futile endeavor although I do have some appreciation for those who try - there is frequently something to be learned from their efforts.

And certainly no one here has any reason to "look up to" me. Perish the thought! That would be an insult to most people's intelligence.

No I think time was cut, if you look at the moment in time the power goes out it takes 1 second for the street lamps to fade out

So why is it when the time jump finishes the light is not yet out impossible!!! My own recording winds me up more than most skeptics do because the more I look at it the more impossible it becomes

You almost seem to get it. There are a number of "better" explanations offered here that do not require the detailed invention of aliens. You should read some of them.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but he claims he can't even read the Raw file, owing to missing a codec, a problem so severe that, even though he is a skilled and experienced engineer recounting an experience of earth-shaking import, is insoluble.

I program micro controllers these days, I'm not interested in video issues, I uploaded it, it worked, later I downloaded the tools to slow it down...

And I can read it i just can't hear it with android default video player, clearly I did manage to because well... I've posted slowed down videos of it

I downloaded a tool that allows me to slow down the video and what part of the video, now I understand what you mean there's lots of apps to do it..

Even if no one can think of a mundane explanation for a one off event that doesn't mean there isn't one. There may just be insufficient information available to work out what it was. And as it's a one off event, not a repeatable observation, it's unlikely that more information can be gathered. In which case it goes down as "unexplained", not "proof of aliens" (or ghosts, or telekenesis, or any other phenomenon for which there is no objective evidence).

I did which one you refer to? Me faking the video? Sabotaging the power lines and shining a light? Or the power coming on to my 1 outside bulb and no other electrical source on the entire block?

When the power came back on the power to the block I'm front had been restored before ours, so you should be able to tell if the light you refer to is a reflection or a distant light source

I can't look at them side by side to answer your question I'd need to get off this phone onto a desktop

1. We have all been graced with the Kanye West of programming and electronics.
2. The fact that I program in multiple computer languages and build my own computers makes me far more clever than non-IT people.
3. Power outages can only be caused by aliens.
4. Elon created electricity that can only be shut off by aliens - therefore he is an alien.
5. When I am terribly tired in the morning it is because I was abducted by aliens and they are just evil enough to drop me back off in time to go to work.

Have I missed any of the relevant lessons here?

Ahh yes, I see now in that last image, there's actually 3 lights from the block in front that are on..

Perfect. So now you see that this is what caused the first flash of light, not a "search beam", and that at least one light is confirmed to have come back on for a moment after the power had died, exactly when the "controversial" light show happened.

Even with just my outside bulb on you can see the stupid ebay light reflecting ... so many people telling that's a car backing up including a ",researcher" at least the average skeptic realized that is just reflection
