A Challenge for Oliver: This is America

And how succesful were Wolfowitz and Bush at the World Bank, if Wolfowitz got the boot?

None.

Goalposts, moving. if that's the point you want to make, that's fair. He did get the boot. But whether you like it or not, he was head of the world Bank for 2 years.

Now, about my stated position on Bush and Iraq? All you have shown thus far is my position on the accuracy (or lack thereof) of one of your statements.

I mean how succesfully nominated at the World Bank is a person if that person gets the boot pronto like an impostor?

Not at all.

Two years is swift?

The point is, he got there. That he didn't stay for 40 years isn't the point being made. He was successful in getting the post. Keeping it is another matter, a different matter.

How can you miss that simple point?

That's the point?

I don't think so.

The point is to succesfully be appointed to the World Bank.

Wow, Ion, that's the quickest I've seen anyone contradict themselves. He was successfully appointed to the World Bank, but that's not the point, because the point is to successfully be appointed to the World Bank? That's a gem of a post you've got there.

He wasn't succesfully appointed to the World Bank because he promptly got the boot.

That's the story of Bush's Presidency.
