I don't think much of this ploy. (It's being used in a local election here}. But the second guy says he's doing it on his own hook. Let's wait for the background investigation to see how much he is being paid.

Thats whats going on here. Someone asked grok what that means in that Twitter thread.

"Latest returns show a narrow R edge in party registration of early ballots (~38.7% R vs 38.4% D), a shift from earlier D leads and relatively stronger for R than 2022 patterns. Party ID is not votes, independents are ~23%, polls still favor Hobbs by 7-12 points, and most ballots remain outstanding. Mild upward revision for Republican competitiveness, but overall priors hold Hobbs favored."

It doesnt say who they voted for. Even if every register republican voted r theres still the "small" issue that 23% of voters are independent and right now the gop is not too popular among independents.
