I don't sense much resentment from Stevens voters. I think they're smart enough to realize that the little differences in policy they had is nothing compared to what happens if Rogers wins. I suspect he won't have to do a lot of woo-ing, he'll still get all the big name endorsements (to the degree they're effective). Who he needs are unhappy independents and I'm pretty sure there are a lot of them.
I think Sayid has to keep his supporters in line, from what I have seen many of them have seem to despise anybody who is not as left wing as they are.

I see a lot of people here have not read the DSA program, and do not understand how extreme it is.

I saw one video of some surrogate going off on Stevens voters pretty harshly and he's justly getting criticized for it, at least from the more liberal networks. Haven't seen or heard much else in terms of provocation but then I haven't been looking for it.

I don't think it matters. I think dudalb just hates anything progressive. You can't expect him to think clearly when he's been so recently shaken by the "DSA Manifesto" after all. It's communism at our doorstep!

It's merely a pamphlet where all the links refer back to itself, except for one, a link to join and fund their organization. No real thought of how these things will work in the real world, but most pamphlets leave the details for the future. Join our church, etcetera, etcetera...

Another state where the rich are going to leave because millionaires are going to get taxed the appropriate amount? They're going to run out of places to go pretty soon. California, New York City, Washington State, and I'm sure a few others will catch up as well. I guess they'll all run to Florida? It's going to be populated down there.

Michigan and Washington increase income taxes, but do not tax wealth directly.
New York has a special vacation home property tax proposal, sort of a wealth tax.
California's wealth tax proposal looks like chaos in a bottle. Not expecting it to pass.

And I hope Sayid has a tough skin, he is going to need it, because you know they will come after him over his being a Muslim, and it will not be pretty.
I make no bones if I live in Michigan I would have voted for Stevens, but Sayid's religion should not even b e an issue.
Prediction:You are going to see him make a lot of appreanced to church groups to sell himself.

I was expecting some utopian stuff, but when they advocate total government control of Housing, of major industries, when they advocate getting rid of the Senate, The Presidency, the Supreme court...which means basically throwing out the consitution...that is just nutjob territory. And you are going to see a lot of dems progressives distance themselves from it.
I live in California..In the State Capitol of all places, and still have not decided how to vote on the wealth tax. I think basic percentage they want..5% is reasonable, but the way it is applied seems to be a mess, which is why many liberals who probably favor some kind of tax on the wealthy are shying away from it.IMHO rather then a special tax just adjust the state income tax rates.
Of there are those who will support the tax just becaust they want to sock it to the rich....not a good motive.

I see a lot of people here have not read the DSA program, and do not understand how extreme it is.
It's only you who thinks that if you support a Democrat, you have to support all he wants, whereas with Republicans, you are free to pick and choose what you want.
And you complain why people won't take it seriously when someone calls themselves "moderate" when Moderation only ever is applied to one side

If millionaires were taxed appropriately, there'd be no billionaires.

As a Muslim living in the United States, I'm sure he's never needed one before now, and that the attacks Republicans throw at him will be the first time he's ever experienced such a thing.

Define progressive; I support UHC and Higher taxes on the wealthy, but, yes, I do not beliece that the goverment should run the economy.

The ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ government DOES run the economy and the current administration is making that exceptionally clear. Have you not noticed how Trump repeatedly manipulates the stock market to line his pockets? I get what you're saying, you don't want the government to own businesses, which is fine. No one here is advocating that and whatever the "DSA manifesto" says, it's not mainstream. The things you're claiming they want will never get through because of the constitution. The GOP wants a Judeo Christian country and makes no bones about it, but the court system is getting in the way. It's the same as that. I'm not going to panic because some extremely small group of people wrote a document.
And have you read the Manifesto?

No, I don't care.
Or are you just blindly defending anything that is 'Progressive".

I'm not ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ defending anything. Show me anywhere that I've defended that manifesto. You can't because, like normal, you're just throwing out made up accusations at people that call you out on your perpetual "chicken little'ing" of the left wing and how they're going to destroy the country. There's like 10 ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ DSA candidates in the entirety of the US. Give me a break.
I suggest you go ot their webite and read it and you will understand why I am concerned.

Your suggestion is duly noted and entirely dismissed. I don't care what their document says. It means nothing to me.
The Government take over all housing? Getting rid of the Senate, the Surpemce Court, and the Presidency? And that is clearly stated.

Cool, it'll never happen because there isn't a means for it to happen. At this point it's just an extremely small faction of a large political party. I'm more focused on the administration that's currently in charge, has a majority in both the house and the senate, and is tearing this country apart. I don't have time to bitch and moan about a wish list from some random group of nobodies.
And,frankly, you are coming off as somebody with a tea party mentality;Anybody not as militant as you should be tossed out of the party.

This and your following comment is all you ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ say. It's the same recycled bull ◊◊◊◊ over, and over and over. First off, by your own words you're not in "the party". You're not a liberal, you're not a progressive, you're not a democrat. You go out of your way to tell everyone, all of the time, how "not in a party" you are to the point where it's a running joke around here.

Also, I'm militant? Do you even ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ know what the word means? You use it all the time and, in the words of Inigo, "I do not think it means what you think it means".

Ironically, whenever someone disagrees with you it results in this same old song and dance. You tell them how they're blind, how they're "militant", how they're the same as MAGA, how they are in an echo chamber and so on. See? You're projecting dudalb and you don't even see it.
And I note you get upset if ANYBODY dares to criticise the Left. You are living in an echo chamber, guy,no better then the MAGA you hate.

Upset? You don't upset me, dudalb. You entertain me. I live in an echo chamber? That's despite me contributing in multiple threads, reading all sorts of conservative media and information, and being up-to-date on the voting patterns of the US? Do you know what any of these words mean?

Just because I find your nonsensical routine around here to be nothing more than a joke doesn't mean I'm in an echo chamber.

And I hope Sayid has a tough skin, he is going to need it, because you know they will come after him over his being a Muslim, and it will not be pretty.

Do you really think he needs that explanation from you?

Looks as if the DSA guy will win the Michigan primary.
There's no "DSA guy" running in Michigan.
The Dems can kiss that senate seat goodby if that happens.
See above. Also, Most of the uppity mooslam's support came from outside traditional Democratic circles. As long as the moderates remember to "vote blue no matter who" ,that actually bodes well.
Nomnting somebody that for to the left in a Swing State is pure stupidity.
There is no vast hidden left wing vote in Michigan to save the situation.
What are his far left positions?

And, in the General, can Sayid appeal
I think Sayid has to keep his supporters in line,
And I hope Sayid has a tough skin,
The man's name is Abdul El-Sayed.

He was an athlete in high school, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan (where he gave a commencement speech that was praised by the next speaker, Bill Clinton), became a Rhodes Scholar, earned a DPhil from Oxford, then earned his MD from Columbia, became an assistant professor at Columbia, published enough oft-cited papers to have an H-index of 37, and has been pursuing a political career on the side.

I doubt whether he needs campaign advice from people who can't be bothered to spell his name correctly.

Here's the Metro Detroit DSA slate:

HTH. HAND!

I'm trying to figure out what could be considered extreme and I've identified 2.
Free Palestine (MAGA/Republicans think Israel should dominate the region).
Legalize Immigration for all (MAGA/Republicans do not want to have more brown people in the USA.)

The right wing position on both of those issues has its basis in racism. Which is itself an extreme position

You're not looking at it from far enough (ie MAGA) right. ;)
Indeed. You want to go to a baseball field, go down the left field foul line to the fence, put a copy of the DSA platform there, then walk over to the end of the right field foul line and look at the DSA platform. You will now be looking at it from the proper distance.
