2018 mid-term election

This is the sixth time on this forum, someone has claimed, unprompted, other races are inferior to whites.
"The group they view as inferior." You either need to work on reading comprehension, or else stop assuming your forum colleagues are abject dimwits who won't notice your shenanigans.

And no one said that but him.

GOP Floods Airwaves with Ads About Crime

PoliticalWire said:
“The Republican Party has aired eight times as many ads focused on crime and public safety as it did during the last midterm election, according to a HuffPost analysis, a reflection of President Trump’s strategy of trying to fire up the GOP’s base with fear.”

“During the last midterm elections, in 2014, Republicans running for House and Senate seats aired ads about public safety more than 12,000 times… That number spiked to nearly 107,000 for the 2018 election, an increase of more than 800 percent.”

What a miserable and pathetic excuse for an ideology you have become, GOP.

*Shrugs* And if we don't vote Democrat we're gonna have no abortions, concentration camps, and white people with assault rifles on every corner mowing down every minority they see.

All campaigning is fear based. Nobody is running on a platform of "Vote for us or... nothing's going to happen."

Yeah, they're all alike, Joe. So hard to decide.

and a current president who has received numerous honors for his commitment to diversity, inclusion, and for benefiting underrepresented minorities.
Care to post a few of these "numerous honors"?

Numerous. "consisting of great numbers of units"

synonyms: legion, many, multiple, multitudinous.

Got any more examples?

that's one example and you claimed there are many such examples. It was also in 1986, which was 32 years ago, do you have anything a little more recent?

Going on the available evidence todays Trump is significantly different to that of 30+years ago.

Our county is already up to 35% voter turnout.

Hope that's a good sign and not just evidence that everybody who gives a crap about the election has already voted and fewer people are actually going to vote on election day.

There's a list of Trump's awards and honors at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_honors_and_awards_received_by_Donald_Trump. Aside from the previously mentioned honor, there are a few involving Jewish groups and Trump's treatment of Israel. Not sure if this is what Baylor meant by inclusion and diversity and I didn't see any other honors that came close to fitting that description.

Didn't see anything about "benefiting underrepresented minorities".

Most people who admit they're naive on topics don't pontificate on them. You should follow suit.

I agree.

(from the Mueller investigation thread)[Mueller]was Assistant Attorney General in charge of the investigation that put an innocent person behind bars for the Lockerbie bombing. Forum member Rolfe wrote a book about it. Mueller faked evidence in the case and he's the one who should be behind bars.

Rolfe's book doesn't even mention Mueller's name.

Sound familiar? you appear to know very, very little about Lockerbie but that didn't stop you posting at length about it.

In this thread you posted a graph to support a racist point you were making without linking the source. It turns out that the graph didn't show what you claimed it did.

challenged to produce evidence showing Trumps numerous awards for his commitment to diversity and benefiting minorities so far you've shown one.

We're skeptics. We don't believe stuff unless you can show us evidence that such a thing is so. In your past posting history here you haven't noticed that by now?

This kind of rambling obviously comes from someone who hasn't got a clue what he's talking about. You admit your own bewilderment of US politics. Most people who admit they're naive on topics don't pontificate on them. You should follow suit.

Most of the comparisons are to previous early voting by the same date, but here's another good sign:
TheHill said:
Early voter turnout in this year’s midterm election in Texas has reportedly surpassed the total voter turnout in the state’s 2014 midterm election.

“Vote against more of this current ****-tardary” is quite compelling campaign foundation.

Does this make Georgia officially a banana republic? Vote suppression and now this, all they need is to restore Jim Crowe

Here's the difference...

When the republicans try to install fear, its usually done with cheap tactics and false information. (e.g. they talk about illegal immigrants bringing crime, but the rate of violent crime by illegal immigrants is actually lower than the crime rate of natural born Americans.)

When the democrats try to instill fear, its often backed by real risks. The supreme court now has a conservative majority, and votes on abortion are often decided by narrow margins, so there IS a risk of abortion rights beiing curtailed. The Trump government DID create things functionally equivalent to concentration camps. And mass shootings in American DO happen.

Even the idiots at Snopes don't try to wiggle their way out of this one.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-received-ellis-island-award-in-1986/

Ah, yes...one honor back in 1986 when he was far more liberal than he claims to be today. When he was pro-choice, pro-universal health care, pro-Hillary Clinton, pro-assault weapons ban, pro-legalizing drugs, and pro-a 14.24% tax on individuals and trusts with a net worth of $10 Million or more. You do know he was also a also a registered Independent in the late nineties and a Democrat from 2001-2009?

That man swings more ways than a rope in a windstorm.

That's one honor 32 years ago...and not "numerous honors".
