Since when does multiple female accusers sway those on the left?
You have a strange view of the left that poorly reflects reality, it seems.
Well I have no doubt of that, but it brings her story into question.
If true, potentially. Still, the records of the legislature would be the first thing to check, for that particular claim. Those would be reasonably trustworthy. In general, though, it might be worth considering the words of
Moore's law teacher when considering Moore's trustworthiness, a Christian and a conservative himself. For example,
One: Roy Moore did not get along with his colleagues in law school or on the Supreme Court. The arguments were not over Christianity.
In law school, the arguments arose from what Disraeli called "falling into a deep groove of illogic and being helpless to allow reason to pull you out." If Moore's analysis of a case was tantamount to thinking 1 + 1 = 3, and his classmates reasoned otherwise, there was no backing down by Moore. The class was willing to fight to the death against illogic that no legal mind but one in America would espouse.
Moore never won one argument, and the debates got ugly and personal. The result: gone was the fulfillment a teacher hopes for in the still peace of logic and learning. I had no choice but to abandon the Socratic method of class participation in favor of the lecture mode because of one student: Roy Moore.
Liberals look at everything through an emotional prism, so yes I dispute it.
To the extent that they do, such also quite applies to "conservatives." The emotions are different, sure, but that doesn't change that they are emotions, rather than rational thought. The real difference, overall, is that the underlying values are different. Unfortunately, these days, it looks like the bulk of the "conservatives" have largely shed the parts of of conservativism that could reasonably be treated as rational in favor of cheap rip-offs being pushed by people who want to exploit them, using cheap manipulation of their emotions and very incomplete sets of facts. Again, the right really needs to be paying attention to the log in their own eye, rather than solely focusing on the speck in the eye of the left.
Look, they’re willing to convict this guy on heresay.
Convict? That would require a proper trial, and the statute of limitations has run out, by the look of it. It's hardly only liberals who think that Moore should step down, though. Romney, for example,
stated
Innocent until proven guilty is for criminal convictions, not elections. I believe Leigh Corfman. Her account is too serious to ignore. Moore is unfit for office and should step aside.
ETA: Perhaps
Fox News might be more convincing, though? (using the link that Craig4 provided)
Gregg Jarrett, a Fox News legal analyst, was no more kind. “I found his answers to be unconvincing and implausible, his entire story to be, in a word, unbelievable. Which means he’s lying.”
You were the one who made the accusation that I was making it personal on rather spurious grounds. You later edited it out, by the look of it, but that was still all you.
