2016 The Movie

The article is not clear how or why the bust was sent back to the British Embassy.

That's because Breitbart is run by a bunch of lying liars who lie.

I have a feeling they didn't ask for it back. If they did specifically ask for it back you would think they (or the white house) would have said so.

The bust was specifically lent to George W. Bush, and was scheduled to be returned automatically at the end of his term. The British didn't have to ask for it back.

ETA: I get the feeling if the White house wanted the bust they could have kept it with one phone call to the British Embassy.

The White House has a bust of Churchill.

Someone should tell Obama to make sure to insure his car through the correct company and he can get a nodding Churchill for the back of his car, Oh Yes

Actually, the British had ALREADY SUGGESTED that we keep it for another four years. So no reason for you to continue to argue AntPogo's misinformation, is there?

....maher was wrong about the blowjob comment, but he wasn't wrong about the healthcare plan being a previously republican plan.

He also completely nailed Dinesh with the "you don't know Obama" tag line.. It's really transparently sad.

Yeah, Maher is pathetically sad. Generally in debate arguments from ridicule and ad hom are part and parcel of failure. But Maher thinks he's clever if he asks the guy (D'Souza) “how far up [his] ass” he had to go to think up that claim.

Trounced him, did he? I see your definition of "Trounced" quite clearly.

The "misinformation" is taking Obama not stopping the already-scheduled return of a sculpture of Churchill lent specifically to his predecessor but keeping an identical sculpture of Churchill in the White House displayed publicly and prominently, and twisting it into the lie that Obama "sent back" the bust because he hated Churchill's views on colonialism.

Why does D'Souza feel the need to tell lies in his movie?

It is interesting that you simply ignore the comment I made, which describes the actual points i was referring to, and why I thought D'Souza got trounced. Such behavior is exactly the same thing that D'Souza did in his arguments, a selective choosing of data to piece together the narrative one wishes to believe. How else can one pretend to know the "real Obama" without ever having actually met him. How else can you pretend to think that D'Souza wasn't called out on his BS?

I admit that Maher was insulting and not polite. I also agree that he was irritating, as he normally is. But in this instance, most of his points(the ones I referenced above) were not wrong. I must assume you know they are not wrong as why else would you choose to ignore them?

Because I can easily continue this process of suggesting you "walk back" from your initial position regarding the interview between Maher and D'Souza. Maher is simply no match for D'Souza, and as noted earlier, a rather interersting discussion could ensue over the debate between Hitchens and D'Souza. But not Maher.

Not sure how far that's forth pursuing, if at all. Keep in mind that you (or him) may be arguing something that I'm not: I don't see 2016 as right wing, and I don't see it as any more or less than a documentary film on a subject.

And yet you offer no reason to do so. Indeed, you have no counter to the argument I presented. Oddly, you provide further evidence of my analysis of your approach.

Then why was D'Souza at a complete loss when his own tag line was thrown back at him? Why was he at a loss when Maher Itemized all of the supposed "unprecedented actions"?

Mhaze, you seem to have devolved into nothing more than a troll. That is sad.

....
I don't know. Maybe you have now latched onto "at a loss" as the cure all band aid fix for something, since "trounced" ain't worky?

Guess you'll just have to spell out exactly how someone was "at a complete loss" and we'll just take it from there.

As you offer no counter argument to the point I made, I see we are done.

Sssssurrrrreeeee.....

I notice there was a use of the NAILED phrase that you were not yet questioned on.

He also completely nailed Dinesh with the "you don't know Obama" tag line

Now, please explain from your world how that exactly happened?

Because D'Souza does not, in fact, "know Obama", and thus had no answer for Maher.

Thank you.
It is clear that my point was understood and emphasizes the game that Mhaze is trying to play.

Actually, though, you are simply making things up. D'Souza did answer the question. He did not "have no answer".

What you are probably thinking about is where that section of the interview ends, with Maher saying "That was Bush's F***UP!" and the cued and canned audience laughter which follows.

Hint: Orchestrated, canned laughter does not imply your ability to state someone won a debate. Not in the real world. That is why I labeled Maher more or less a "shock jock". But he certainly does not hold a candle to the King of Shock Jocks, does he? He comes off as a miserable little creature full of hate.

Does the White House have a bust of Churchill?

Does the White House have a bust of Churchill?

It seems to me that the British were the ones trying hard to get rid of the thing.

"Do you want a bust of Winston Churchill to put in the White House? What's that? You already have one? Do you want another one, then? Are you sure you don't want another one? No? Crap. Wait, don't send it back here! Find someplace else to put it, just keep it over there across the Atlantic Ocean, away from us!"

I think he's white. Sure acts like it.
.
No, he's black.
Black and non-christian and black and not American and black and a Muslim and mostly, he's black.
That's what I get from all the e-mails I get from his not-fans.

with a bit of humour this SHOULD BE a thread of it's own.

It'd be okay for the joke to fly right over the heads of one dimensional parrots, of course.
