2010 Election Results

But you don't mind the fact that police and fire are socialist systems then? Think we should disband the corrections service, let everyone out of prison and tell people to buy their own guns?

How about letting every house around yours burn because those folks didn't pay for fire service then hope your house doesn't burn down because the fire got so out of control by the time it reached your house it was too big to stop. How about that?

And were you aware that for those folks who do pay insurance, we get charged for the people who don't pay their bills? I'd prefer that cost was distributed to all taxpayers, myself, rather than simply all people who do pay for their medical care.

I think those are all state run services. Which the states are free constitutionally to have those services

I think we are discussing federal obligations.

And when it comes to fires, I don't know very many houses that were saved.
Firemen work very hard and its incredibly dangerous but houses just go to quick.

How about trash pickup
I would love to save the 350 dollars a year and take my own trash to the dump, but I'm forced to pay it.

How about public education. We don't have kids in school yet but the majority of my property tax (4560) every year for the last 7 years has gone to educating someone elses child. And to top it off we will probably send our kids to private school.

So yes the states have to much big gov also.

To get back to the topic of election results, does anyone know of any challenges or recounts that are taking place? I haven't heard anything yet.

Could we be blessed with a recount-free election? :D

So would they be the panel were talking about

well someone has to make the decision, and given they are not slaves, the DOCTORS WHO DO THE SURGERIES would probably be the best, most qualified people to make those decisions.

You can call it what you like.

With the death panels in the (for-profit) health insurance companies?

I have the freedom to pay for and make my own decisions when it comes to my heart transplant, providing there is one available.

You don't have to wait for the insurance companies or gov,the way it is now.

With a gov run system, it will be against the law for me to pay for my own.

I will have to go to ecuador or something.

Or you can buy a cadillac insurance policy.

Predictions of a Rossi demanded recount are but a memory. Murray's lead has doubled and she's been declared the winner.

Yay!!!

How about my example

Who decides when an elderly woman needs a heart transplant in a gov run healthcare system.

If you come up with an answer I don't like, I promise I won't call you a liar.

I don't mind being a troll, someone has to answer you libs
What government run healthcare system are we talking about? The current health care bill certainly doesn't create a government healthcare system any more than we have already. For the elderly, of course, we've had a governmnet run health insurance system, called Medicare, and maybe you could answer your own question about who has been making those decisions if you cared to think about it.

Wow, logging must be more lucrative than I thought. When my father in law had a bypass it cost about a quarter million dollars. I surmise that a transplant would be a bit more. I sure hope you're eating your cheerios and skipping the bacon.

I wonder if under a gov run plan he would have gotten it

And yes logging is very good, but its not for people who don't like hard work.

I like the healthcare we have now. I don't like Obama care. And I certainly don't like the single payer scheme

Good news. Just read that Rossi conceded. That 53 dems in the senate now. Some of whom are pretty conservative though.

Yes which ones do you think will vote with the republicans:D

Plus there are a whole bunch of conservative dems up in two years, Manchin,Tester,Webb,Nelson,Gilibrand,Conrad.

I think there are 21 Dems:eek:

I've been hearing only one BlueDog was re-elected and a couple more were not.

But I don't have the details or total count.

Notice how logger just totally tuned out the health care bill death panel lie? Amazing how people can do that.

How about I make the decision

Now I don't work in the medical profession, but I don't think I get to dictate to my doctor what he should do for me. I can suggest, I guess, but since he has all that fancy school learnin' he probably know more than I do.

I work and have private insurance and my medical decisions are made A) by the doctors, B) by the insurance companies (who, I'm lucky enough to say, have paid my way so far), and C) by me if I choose to go without. Option C seems the stupider one, in my opinion.

How about I make the decision

You can, but since you are not performing the surgery, and the doctors are not your slaves, ultimately it is up to them...you know, the people who have the medical knowledge. Or perhaps you feel that you have the expertise to make the proper decision on such a thing.
