Trump Assassination Attempt Conspiracy Theories

Wow. It's only just started. House Republican alarmed that he wasn't allowed to personally examine the body. :eye-poppi

The hearing came just about a week after Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.), a former police officer and member of the House select task force probing the assassination attempt, released a preliminary six-page report to a bipartisan 13-member task force. He said that his effort to examine Crooks' body on August 5 created 'quite a stir and revealed a disturbing fact ... the FBI released the body for cremation 10 days after July 13. 'On July 23, Crooks was gone,' Higgins wrote, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

As we get farther away from the incident, and more incompetence and questionability becomes apparent, I'm increasingly open to the idea that it wasn't what it seemed to be. It seems that if there was an actual injury (to Trump, that is) he'd have no problem milking it by say, making NFT pictures of it, showing his "massive" injury.

That, and the conspos are whining about really petty stuff about this.

“OMG! They hosed off the roof the shooter was on several hours after the assassination attempt!”. Yeah, cause leaving organic material in the summer sun is such a great idea. I’m pretty sure they photographed the scene and got all the evidence by that time. These are the same people who wanted every scrap of steel at Ground Zero to be tested for explosives residue.

“OMG, the would-be assassin’s Dad hired a LAWYER! He must be up to no good!” Uh, yeah, dude could easily be facing a wrongful death suit from the actual victims. There’s probably a host of other legal issues he’s facing he might want to have legal representation for.

I'm not saying the conspiracy theorists have a point here, but why on earth would you just blindly assume that the same organizations that let the shot happen would have done any kind of competent job at any point during this incident?

Bet you anything they didn't actually do a proper job of documenting the scene and gathering evidence before the cleanup started.

Is the Secret Service doing the forensic work? I was under the impression the FBI would take that job over under these circumstances.

Every photo here and discussion of investigation shows FBI.

They didn't "let" the shot happen and more than they "let" 9/11 happen. It looks like all the information was available to prevent the event from happening but dysfunctional communication meant the system failed.

IMHO, step one would be to drastically simplify the baroque structure of the American law enforcment/security system. That is set up to fail from the start.

There's no question who the killer was, what he was doing and how he died. Marksman that shot him wasn't going for any leg wounds to disable him. The aim was to kill him instantly.

This was obviously the easiest way to hide that the shooter was in fact a lizard-man commando that failed in his mission to kill St. Donald.
I mean, what else could it possibly be?

Yeah, I’m having a hard time trying to figure out an explanation for why he wanted to examine the body that isn’t a completely ◊◊◊◊◊◊* reason. Does he believe in lizard men?

It's enough to persuade the stupid that something's being covered up. Like Hillary's servers or Hunter's laptop. Classic conspiracy, it doesn't have to make sense provided you can point at it and say "See?"

That's how it would ordinarily work. The Secret Service investigates threats to protectees. Once shots are actually fired, the FBI investigates.

At the hearing the FBI director said the Secret Service handled the crime scene investigation while the FBI handed the investigation into the shooter's background, and events leading up to the shooting. I imagine the FBI does the lab work and forensics too.

I wouldn't put Hunter's laptop in the same category. Hunter just pleaded guilty to federal crimes. And in the previous trial on the gun charge, it was an important piece of evidence.

As far as Hillary's private email server, I remember when the New York Times broke that story and at the time I thought so what? Who cares? I didn't think it was very important personally. But it ended up being a serious negative story politically, and maybe we have the Times to thank for Trump winning that election.

The CTists are claiming the dead body is someone else. Obviously a CIA-Delta Force-SEAL sniper.

Ah, "someone else". To me that seems like a ◊◊◊◊◊◊* reason but maybe slightly less crazy than lizard people. You would have to believe that the FBI is either very incompetent or intentionally covering up who actually did it for some reason. I had a third idea. I remembered a video game I played called X-Com 2 where the enemy soldiers were being controlled through brain implants. This is obviously science fiction but some people think that this is actually the world we live in. Any way, if he wanted to personally examine the body he must have a theory about what he would be looking for. Something other than what is publicly known or what the FBI has said about it. And the theory seems to involve the FBI covering something up.

Or he knew he'd be refused and could count on saying "See! They wouldn't let me look at the body!"

A Secret Service radio room where agents were supposed to monitor potential threats and get reports of any problems had no way to receive real-time alerts from local police surveilling the crowd and outer perimeter.

Local police’s alert of a suspicious man at the rally before Trump’s arrival was not broadcast widely on Secret Service radio. Instead, local counter snipers were instructed to text a photo of the man — who was behaving oddly near the Agr building and carrying a range finder — to just one Secret Service official, limiting the agency’s awareness of a man who turned out to be the gunman.

Secret Service agents never heard local police radio traffic about trying to track down and then spotting that man after Trump began speaking.

The obvious and most plausible reason for the **** up.

Like 9/11, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

Assassination Attempt, Part Deux: The Usual Suspects.

Yesterday some clown set up on the fence line of the golf course Diaper Don was playing. He hung a couple of ballistic plates on the fence, and was armed with a scoped AK-47 style rifle. The Secret Service spotted him, and shot first while getting DD to safety. They used a drone to track the suspect to his vehicle, and he was later arrested.

Bottom Line: The Secret Service did their job.

But the usual MAGA crowd are calling for an "open" investigating", and demanding that heads should roll, etc. They're outraged a former POTUS does not receive the same security as a current POTUS. The same people who demand to cut government spending. Maybe Donny should refrain from golf for a while until things cool down. But no.

Yes, "The Secret Service did their job" - more's the pity.

I suggest Trump refuses further Secret Service protection.
He could start paying for his protection himself.

Or he could surround himself with his armed supporters and the rest of the World can wait with baited breath for a car to backfire in the vicinity.
