A Bostonian, Abdulrahman Alharbi, whom the right-wing loon Glen Beck singled out and accused of being involved in the terror bombings during the Boston Marathon last year, has filed a lawsuit against the aforementioned loon.

Peter Haley, Alharbi’s lawyer stated in his filing:
On and after April 15, Beck broadcast repeated statements distributed and published to others…identifying Alharbi as an active participant in the crimes that were committed in Boston.
Beck falsely accused Alharbi of being a criminal who had funded the attacks that took place at the Boston Marathon…the statements made by Beck were false.

Apparently accusing someone of being a member of Al Qaeda, being a murderer and terrorist and funding bombings, even after your "case" has been shown to be utter rubbish, has consequences.

Complaint.

Excellent. It's about time one of these fear-mongering morons get their due. I hope this ends the career of that hack.

That is the question at hand, at least. We have to wait for the disposition of the case before we can say there are consequences.

I don't believe so, the filing was on the 28th.

What a sad society we live in when we ever have to consider, even if only momentarily, the possibility that the case against Beck, rather than Beck himself, might be the joke.

I hope he's taken for a painful sum of money. The target of his baseless slander could have been murdered by someone believing what Beck said about him. I'll bet there are morons who still believe it. I remember the poor Sikh business owner who was murdered in Texas just after the September 11 attack simply because some idiot thought he was Arabian (not that it would have been any less appalling had he been). Just imagine what might have happened because Beck was calling him out by name for a terrorist bombing.

Beck may be stupid, but he's a dangerous kind of stupid.

You say sad, I say entertaining.
