Glen Beck is being sued.

I don't know these shield laws either, and IANAL, but I hope the downside of protecting your sources is that the court treats them as non-existent. That would only be fair.
Then I suppose that the courts would also assume that Beck's claims are just ones he made up and has virtually assured himself of a decision in the plaintiff's favor?

As much as I hate Back, I give him a pass here. You sell ads pretty much to whoever wants to buy.

BUt that comment is a great one on Trump's mentality.

He sold his email list not ad space.

Somehow I didn't notice this news item from last month.

On Tuesday, a U.S. District Court announced that Beck and those companies had reached a settlement with Alharbi, the terms of which were confidential.

"No party has admitted any fault, wrongdoing, or responsibility as part of the settlement," read the court's statement, first reported by Politico.

The settlement comes one month after the same judge ruled that Beck's producers were required to reveal the sources for their reporting on Alharbi. Beck and his lawyers resisted that order, arguing that testimony could threaten the lives of the sources.
Well that sucks. I was hoping to see that Beck actually didn't have any sources or was at least forced to admit fault. I suppose there is less money in that though.
