The prophecies of Ama

What lung illness was Aguila diagnosed with, PC? Be specific. Asbestosis, cystic fibrosis, TB, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, cancer, what?

You ignored my question why "Ama" doesn't make specific predictions about things that then actually happen, such the Crimea conflict or the disappearance of the Malaysian Airlines plane. So I'll move on to a related question. Why doesn't "Ama" tell us where Flight MH370 is? Why doesn't the "voice of God" show some compassion and end the limbo these poor families are in right now?

There is also this, oddly enough aired in 1975

A wounded bomber pilot comes to believe he's Jesus Christ, which beings attention to both Colonel Flagg and Sidney Freedman.

Norm

That episode was very sad. But at least Captain Chandler didn't annoy everyone with false predictions about nuclear war and space toads, and he wasn't swindling gullible people out of their money.

I do not know what Marcial Aguila’s lung disease was. I only know that his lungs were full of holes (“butas-butas”). Since he was a journalist and head of the National Media Production Center, he used to hang around with other journalists. He drunk much liquor, gambled, smoked cigarette which Ama called Chess (I think I know what Chess stands for—Chesterfield, a brand of cigarette).

His wife, Sofia, was a listener of Ama. I think it was through her that he learned about Ama. Ama calls His meeting with Marcial as “litson” for “lesson”. It was through his illness that he sought Ama.

Ama did not mention the Malaysian Airlines plane nor the Crimea conflict. I think these are prelude to what we are going to experience: war, famine, plague, etc. He said that if there is no sufferings, there is no God. So we have to suffer like Jesus to know God.

So you're going to praise "Ama" for curing an illness and you don't even know what the illness was? Your standards of proof are awfully low, but of course everyone here knew that already.

Ama did not mention the Malaysian Airlines plane nor the Crimea conflict.
Yes, I know. The question was why not. If "Ama" is all-knowing, why no specific predictions (except for the Olympic prediction that failed)?

9/10 – Many will appear smooth-faced and pretend that they are Jesus Christ. This is a warning of the coming of the Last Day. (Lilitaw ang maraming mapagbalatkayo at magpapanggap na Kristo bagay na isa ring babala sa paglapit ng Huling Araw.)
I think this is a mistranslation. The correct phrase is probably "bald faced" or "bare faced," expressions used to describe liars. Like the book Bare Faced Messiah: The True Story of L. Ron Hubbard by Russell Miller. LRH and "Ama" are probably two peas in a pod, but that's a separate issue.

At least there is just the one more 'prophecy' to suffer through.

Why are all these fake Jesus wannabes smooth faced, anyway? Most Jesus impersonators are razor-dodgers, given the general Western idea of the man.

“Smooth-faced” was what the translator gave. But Jesus was not literally “smooth-faced”. He had a beard. World Book Dictionary says “smooth-faced” in a figurative manner means “agreeable in speech and manner, often insincerely; blandly ingratiating”.

Jesus Christ was drawn by an eight-year-old Idaho girl named Akiane Kramarik. She named her drawing as “Prince of Peace”. According to Ama, that is how Jesus Christ looked like.

Sounds like pneumothorax. From the Wikipedia link (emphasis Mine):

Small spontaneous pneumothoraces typically resolve without treatment and require only monitoring.

It can be fatal, but only in very extreme cases. It is treatable. Aguila's recovery doesn't look like a miracle to Me, and would be even less of a miracle if he was also seeing a respiratory specialist for medical treatment.

So we have to suffer like Jesus to know God.

Stuff and nonsense! Any real god should be able to walk freely among mortals and inspire them to enjoy their lives and make the world a better place.

Oh, and -- (Springy G opens up tin of brownies and passes them around) -- Happy Equinox, everyone! :yahoo

No, there is just no god.

So the guy who brings us war, famine, plague, etc. with the sole objective of knowing him is the "Prince of Peace". No wonder that you call yourself "Peace Crusader" whilst you are looking forward to a nuclear war and consider AIDS a blessing.

PC, we've discussed that painting before.
The girl used an actual person as a model.
Maria Liwayway Alvaran is wrong in that identification, yet again.

Cheers, O Goddess!
Brownies are absolutely fabulous with Dom ; there's a case floating to you as I write.

Yes, pakeha, Akiane Kramarik used a model. Please read about her in:
http://www.christianity.com/Christian Living/Features/11622549/

Here is an excerpt from the webpage:
"I always think about Jesus and talk about Him," she says. "I was looking for a [Jesus] model for a long, long time, and when I couldn't find anyone, one day I suggested to my family to pray all day for this model so God would send the right one." The day that they prayed, a very tall carpenter—yes, a carpenter—came to their door looking for work. When he showed up, Akiane nearly fainted. "I told my mother that that was him. I want him to be my model," she recalls.
The carpenter agreed to it at first, but he called a week later to back out.
"He said that he wasn't worthy to represent his Master," Akiane says. "He's a Christian, and he's a humble person. But I prayed that God would change his mind and that he would call back." And the mysterious carpenter, who wished to remain anonymous, did call Akiane back, saying that God wanted him to pose for the painting, although he felt it was unusual.
Akiane took pictures, studied his face, made sketches, used her imagination and photo references, and the result was the "Prince of Peace."

I sent a picture of the “Prince of Peace” with a Christmas card to the Philippines, and asked the spirit of Ama when He comes if that is how Jesus Christ looked like. On New Year’s Day, Primitivo Tabo, Jr. of NYC called me and said that Ama said that it is. In one of my tape recordings, Ama revealed that Jesus was 6 feet 8 inches tall. Akiane may not know that the “very tall carpenter” she made as model was Jesus Himself. Is there anything impossible to God?

Jesus is an Anglo NBA power forward?

He said that if there is no sufferings, there is no God. So we have to suffer like Jesus to know God.

So, your "god" is a sadist.

That, or the con artist you insist is a prophetess is just recycling a tired old excuse to try and dodge the very real question of why God allows so much suffering.

Does Ama demand you beat yourself or wear clothing designed to inflict pain and discomfort so as to enhance your suffering?
