I think several members of the prosecution and police including Stefanoni are trying to frame with false evidence someone they think is guilty.

Yep. I think so too. But to them, it might not seem wrong. They might even think it's a bit noble in an end-justifies-the-means kind of way.
 
The Kercher case in Italy, threatens to rewrite the relationship between science and the law. If Sollecito and Knox are confirmed as guilty by Cassazione - in my opinion, all Italians are at risk because of this rewriting....

(This is also a bit of a test - my bet is that guilters will not even read this. They'll just sluff it off because Vecchiotti's name is associated with it. IMO - this is the hallmark of confirmation bias and the willingness to wrongfully convict two innocents.... but then again, I've said that.)

Regarding the nature of the recovered material, there was no scientifically conclusive evidence to support the possible blood nature of the sample taken from the blade (sample B) in that both the generic blood test and the human species test were negative. The conclusion that exfoliated cells were present on the sample taken from the handle (sample A) was equally lacking in scientific basis.

As for the bra clasp, regarding the nature of the material recovered, there was no scientific evidence supporting the notion that flaking cells were present in the sample. The hypothesis formulated by the scientific police technical consultant about the nature of the material collected from the clasp is thus arbitrary, since it was not supported by any actual findings.

I have not watched the video with the "brilliant" lawyer Alan Dershowitz, but what is the "plenty" of evidence that he lists? From what I read, his main reason is her false witness statement and I believe he also called her a "terrible person."

It actually makes a person cringe with every bullet point he brings up.... Especially since I've learned more of the in and outs of the case in the last week.

What were his bullet points?

Have you read the ABC article that claimed the Italian justice system got it right?

How come no one ever brings up the fact that Stefanoni lied on the stand and refused to turn over data? Should that not at least raise eyebrows?
 
Does anyone have any information on whether judge Crini has been suspended pending further investigations or is he still working on the motivations?

Is the 90 day clock for publication of motivations still ticking?

Consider that the job of the police in this case was to make a case against Raffaele and Amanda as directed by PM Mignini. To me, this is backwards, and makes for all sorts of possibilities with regard to various nefarious activities on the part of police, labs, and even the gathering of witnesses. What I'm trying to say is, at some point it becomes the job of everyone on the case not to follow the evidence, but to make a case against the people Mignini picked out of the crowd. The actual evidence doesn't matter unless it incriminates the PM's suspects, so additional evidence must be found. Now, going over to the house of a suspect and pulling a knife out of a drawer doesn't seem so strange at all. Even in the U.S., during the prosecutor's phase of a trial, evidence must be viewed by the court in a light most favorable to the state. The Italians just embrace that philosophy and take it an extra mile or two. We might call it a frame-up, but to them it is just giving the PM what he needs to prosecute the case.

For Sabrina and Cosima Misseri, over 10 months now with no motivation.

People within ABC are unhappy too, but they can't do anything because Abrams is a big shot. Abrams has been advised of numerous factual errors, he has been presented with documentation that proves the errors, and he refuses to allow any changes. The most he would allow was removal of the bogus quotes he attributed to Amanda.

Everyone who cares about this should flame ABC hard.

I must admit I haven’t been pursuing the thread as much so missed the comment, I agree; but really are you surprised by the lack of censure? I’m not.
