Just a brief up date as I have work in the morning . I was instructed to go to Chester to test the mountain with Tracy . They has bin a misunderstanding , Tracy isn't confident that my laptop will alter Alerdbanks recording . She said it would be interesting to see if this could be achieved be for running it through her own lap top . Tracy still has no internet to down load JFishers recordings . Sorry this is brief but I will be back tomorrow night . Goodnight .

You asked once, and I've offered twice to email them to you, scrappy. Just PM an email address....

So, the voices are computer-specific now? Curiouser and curiouser....

...I asked about that letter from her GP to the Bishop. In it he said that (flaccon) 'hears noise suggestive of words' and has been haunted by this for some time. He said this was more a spiritual matter than a medical one. ...

Fascinating.

... a three-pointed leaf that hippies tend to smoke ...
Errr.
Five or seven the last time I checked.

As an aside but not OT, we sometimes hear the phrase "body of work" when the mods are doing their nefarious (mis)deeds. Here I'd like to recognize and applaud asydhouse for his "body of work" in this thread. Well, done, mate! :alc:

Huh? That old hippie??!! Oh, wait.... I'm the guy they usually refer to as "that old hippie" (well, now that Quarky's taken leave).

Never mind, then.... (great posts Asydhouse - you could be any of about a half dozen friends of mine who went that route in the past).

Wait, are you saying I shouldn't smoke poison ivy?

It's been a long time since I was a newbie. I saw someone say the other day that a new member only gets access to the private message (PM) system when they hit 50 posts. Could someone confirm?

Also, scrappy might not know what you meant by "PM".

It's not a good reply from flaccon.
I'm still asking for flaccon to produce ... Should be easy enough to do; most home printers these days include scanners. Or take a photograph on a digital camera. Flaccon seems to use Wind'oh!s so getting a scanner should be easy peasy. Same goes for Mac, most scanners work out of the box.

On most, if not all, GNU/Linux platforms HP scanners and print-scan-copiers work out of the box if you download and install HPLIP, which is an executable so it shouldn't be too difficult for anyone no matter what platform they use to scan in a letter.

All kinds of possibilities indeed.
She managed to to get digital images of purported blood stains and get them on her website, a letter should be no problem at all.

E.T.A.: here's how flaccon described this letter:
... GP etc, he's heard and wrote me a letter of concern "To whom it may concern.." The letter was aimed at my local Bishop, ...

Thank you! As it happens, I've received a PM from LibraryLady informing me that the post that a couple of you nominated for the language award is on the shortlist for June's award. You can vote for the post here http://www.internationalskeptics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261462

To quote from her message to me:
Vote, urge, cajole, coax, intimidate your friends into voting!

I've no idea what the award consists of, and I suspect it is purely the glow of pleasure at receiving the acolades of one's fellow JREFers, so of no real material benefit, but such a glow is probably more valuable in the long run than a trophy on the matelpiece that would only look kitsch and demand dusting every now and then (rarely :D), or a few bob that would soon be frittered away on artery-clogging ice creams, so.... if anyone has felt appreciation for that original post (which is on the poll thread linked to above, if you haven't read it, or want to refresh your memory, and read the other contenders as well, of course, so that you make a fair choice...) please follow the link and tick my box! (Ooh er, Missuss! ;))

ETA PS I forgot to add that polls close on the 11 July!

💦 👀 💕💫✨

While I'm here, I'd also like to ask all of you who are interested in my revelations to follow this link to my blog on my website, where I've posted another statement about my relation to the "scene" in India, introducing a movie I made this spring from footage I shot in Goa while we were there in early February this year.

I'd love to get some feed back about both the movie and the statement I've posted in my blog from you lot! :D

Check it out: http://www.asydhouse.co.uk/asydhouse.co.uk/blog/Entries/2013/6/18_a_visual_poem.html

Or just go to the public library?

A brand-new HP Deskjet 1050A has a scanner and costs £40 from Amazon; a Deskjet 2510 with a scanner costs £37.00 and is reduced from £60.00, also on Amazon.

Why would she need to buy a scanner? She's already been able to get pictures of purported blood stains on her site.
