The reports yesterday were that the shooter was wearing a helmet and body armor. I suspect that even if he had chanced upon someone who chose to ignore the virtual ban on concealed carry in Los Angeles, he wouldn't have had much to worry about unless the would-be defender was well practiced in delivering a head shot under extreme pressure.

It was, sort of. California does have some of the strictest gun laws in the country. It was more poking fun at the the previous comment, as it was based entirely on rhetoric.

People don't need to arm themselves for their own protection. Just count on Joe Biden to show up with his shot gun and save the day.

Almost all CCW'ers can do this. Visit any concealed carry forum or gun forum with a CC section. They'll tell you. They train extensively in the bathroom mirror with the Mozambique drill and 45 degree blading.

We need those laws keeping potential victims disarmed in order to maintain a civilized society. Just accept the associated body count as the cost of political correctness...

Hey, lighten up! I'm starting to come around to the Lefties' POV. It's important to keep pushing the total disarmament agenda no matter how many innocent victims it gets killed.

I mean if it's not you or someone you know who gets stabbed, shot or bludgeoned then don't worry about it...
 
Does anyone think that having loads of CCW permit holders about would

- reduce casualties in mass shootings?
