Bigfoot DNA

Does it not bother y'all that this seems to be some kind of world wide psychosis? I mean really, bigfoot is fascinating enough, but I don't think I've ever read anything about this kind of phenomenon.

No it's not, not even close! according to southern yahoo, he is in regular contact with melba, and she just got tired of people bothering her!

And the paper is ready for publication!

so obviously the jig is actually up for us skeptics, as mama ketchum is fixing to drive the stake into our collective hearts!

CWB

SY spends way to much time trying to be noticed than putting an effort into the truth. You can't get BF DNA From Mythological Hope.

I haven't seen OntarioSquatch recently but he apparently didn't read the post by ABP showing that it is not Ketchum who put the former DNA Diagnostics building up for sale. She doesn't own it; she defaulted on the loan and had to sign it back over to the note holder/former owner, who has put it back on the market.

It sounded to me as if she is planning to work at a research lab, which I would guess might be at Texas A&M. That might be a good fit.

That is really the interesting thing about bigfootery. There are certain parallels in religion, famous fakers, cults, UFOs, snipe hunts, conspiracy theories, side shows, fish stories, witch hunts, etc. The Internet and cable television have certainly played a unique role. I would suggest reading about the Cardiff Giant, the Fox sisters, Witness for the Defense by Beth Loftus, When Prophesy Fails by Leon Festinger, the Jamestown cult, and the Paul Bunyan stories/folklore generally. As I assume you are not a male, there are some elements you will find difficult to understand, like planning elaborate practical jokes on your bored hunting buddies/loggers/soldiers/frat brothers, or seeing yourself as the hero defender of America/explorer of the unknown/collector of toys/guns.

Top with resentment of those smart kids from high school, and bake in a 375 degree oven for 45 years, disseminate over the internet and cable, and you have "Bigfoot".

what kind of research lab would hire one of their scientists who publically, loudly, and frequently states unequivocally that she watches BF families play? put that on top of the lawsuits regarding her DNA expertise and ability to deliver promised work?

Maybe hire her as a tech that runs gells all day, and loads machines, but I can'rt see a commercial or academic lab hiring her into any position of science or decision making!

didn't she do some unscrupulous activity under the Aggie banner that resulted in their being sued and then cutting off any and all affiliation with her?

ABP,
Is this the public information site you used to find out about the loan default?
http://cc.co.shelby.tx.us/RealEstate/SearchResults.aspx

Yes, but I deny doing it.

There is a property transaction link there, but there is also an independent property assessing division that has its own site and additional information on current ownership and value. Between the two a pretty full picture can be drawn.

Not real comfortable being the one to splash all the details of a person's demise publicly but anyone interested can see.

Mission Accomplished! Published Bigfoot DNA sequences in Genbank!

ladies and gentlemen,
if you go to genbank, and type in sasquatch in the search engine, it will return 3 Cytochrome Oxidase 1 sequences for 3 distinct individual sasquatches!

I am not familiar with this particular study, but it was taken from Snoqualmie pass, which I assume is Lasionycta county in Washington. Positive ID on all 3 samples!

So i guess we are done here! will the last one leaving, please turn out the lights!

for those of us not in the field of genetic interpretation , would you explain what all that means?

What the...???? Have they been sitting in there all this time and nobody bothered to look?

So I assume they were able to produce a large portion of an actual Sasquatch to compare the DNA sequences against ?

Clicking through on LTC8K6's link will make calwaterbear's joke fairly obvious (or should).

From what I'm hearing it's been cataloged as a new species. Wonder when that got put in and how it slipped everyone's radar? Well I'll be, I wonder who did it?

I was listening to NPR, evidently they have the type specimen in a museum up in Canada.I wonder why CNN hasn't snagged the story?
