I find it amusing how one guy has gone from "It's nice to have a place where we can delete the trolls (hint, hint),"

to

"Reported this page as "spam or scam". There are always do-nothings that resent doers. Or their so obsessed with tactics, they'll sabotage mission. Just move on from this deceitful creation by someone who thinks they have a word to say about ethics."

Hilarious.

So it's been over a month since they started their little club, does anyone have any idea what their views are on the issues they claim to support?

Anyone familiar with the radical leftist identity and gender politics of the 1970's and 1980's (specifically gender feminism, political correctness and the cult of victimisation) knows what their views are. They are nothing if not unoriginal. One of their first "projects" called A+ Scribe is off to a rocky start. Seems like copyright protection is one of those privileges of the patriarchy that have to be destroyed.

More on A+ Scribe here and here.

I just made two posts which were perfectly serious debating issues. I wasn't trying to break anything.

I've been trying to destroy JREF from within for years and I've gotten nowhere.

I know Randi personally, and you point is?

:) :) :)

He was joking. His point is that JREF isn't as fragile at the A+ house of cards.

Well, I don't like A(whatever), it is just another way to have a us and them mentality even if that wasn't the point at the beginning, it has always turned out that way.

Yawn. :) I did Women's Studies at uni in 86. Sure, the history was interesting, but the goals were old hat even then - railing against an enemy that no longer exists, at least in the West.

I would theoretically support a movement that aims to spread humanism/skepticism to non-English-speaking countries. (However, my almost complete lack of foreign language skills would probably make my support slacktivism at best.)

that would be 'racist cultural imperialism' and would run directly against the goals and values of atheism plus.

This comment made me think, I would guess that most "atheist issues" (if there really are such things) are very much first world problems. Most people dealing with true disadvantages probably have better things to worry about, hence their failure to join atheist groups/movements.

Okay - so what's wrong with Secular Humanism again? Why something new that's essentially the same thing?

First, having the + is cool... or not.

Second, secular humanism has a difficult time with exclusion. Atheism+ apparently requires it.

ETA: edited... forgot to put the + after "Atheism".

Old white men! The horror! Let's put all the young white women on an ark and let it rain for 40 days and 40 nights.
