Agatha said:
Taqsh in late spring/early summer, figs later in the summer/early autumn. Why?

My reply:
You know, Agatha, when the fig tree is fruiting – summer/early autumn. The summer months in the Jewish calendar are Tammuz, Av, and Elul; and early autumn is Tishri. These months are equivalent to June, July, and August; and September in the Gregorian calendar.

What is the condition of the fig tree when fruiting? What I mean by condition is if the leaves are present or absent.

Was Jesus expecting the fig tree to have fruits when He cursed it? (Mark 11:12-14, 20-22; Matthew 21:18-20)

No, Jesus did not expect the tree to have figs, because it was a week before the crucifixion and a few days before Passover, because it was spring. Mark 11.13 makes this quite clear:
And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
Leaves (so spring)but no taqsh (which is the first crop in early summer) and no fruit (in late summer). If it had been August, there would have been fruit.

In any case, you are wrong about Passover moving through the seasons; the intercalary month was added at least from the time of Exodus 1400BC-600BC and throughout Biblical times. If it had not been, the commandment in Exodus to keep the Passover with a young lamb or kid and a sheaf of the first barley could not be fulfilled. Give this up as a fail, because you are just making a fool of yourself by clinging to your fantasy that Passover could possibly be in August when the barley has been long harvested and the lambs/kids grown too big to be fully consumed by one family in one evening.

We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall doubt in the Forum, we shall doubt in the blogs and comments sections, we shall doubt with growing confidence and growing strength on YouTube, we shall defend rationality, whatever the cost may be. We shall doubt in the StarBucks, we shall doubt in the conference halls, we shall doubt in the halls of government and in the bus queues, we shall doubt in front of TVs; we shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Forum or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our allies at StripGenerator beyond the seas, armed and guarded by my fellow artists, would carry on the struggle, until, in the Flying Spaghetti Monster's own good time plus time-and-a-half for overtime, new skeptics, with all their rhetoric and demands for actual evidence, step forth to the rescue and the justification of the old.

PC, do you think it might be possible that 'London 2012' was a mistranslation?

It just seems to me that 'Sochi 2014' might be quite similar to 'London 2012' in Thai writings.

Also, Sochi is of course Russian. Russia are quite likely to stand with China in any international dispute. They are also atheist/commie nations. Would the Devil not use them to trigger the war against Christians? It seems likely he would.

You are probably correct in your claims of the dispute in the South China Sea. Give that another two years, and perhaps we will be on the brink of nuclear war. These things just don't happen over night, as much as you will it. There are procedures to follow. Another two years would give ample time.

I'm just saying, check whether 'London 2012' sounds or looks anything like 'Sochi 2014' when spoken/written in Thai.

A simple mistranslations seems the obvious reason why your predictions were wrong.

Why Thai?

On the other hand, PC said the holy spook speaks every language that ever existed, so it's almost inevitable there will be one where 'London 2012' sounds like 'Sochi 2014'. Or perhaps one where 'it will not be held' sounds like 'it will be a great success'. The possibilities are virtually endless.

Isn't the old lady prophet in Thailand? I'm sure that's what PC said. If so, I think assuming she speaks in Thai is reasonable.

Why is this thread still open when we categorically know the answer to the question in the title?

Three wheels on my wagon

No, the old lady is in the Philippines.

Four More Years!

I offered to translate too, pakeha, but I thing PC's gone off me a bit since I proved his dates were wrong as he failed to take account of the intercalary month in the Jewish calendar.

No worries, Agatha.
There's nothing to translate till we get the link.
I'm amused PC would now drag in the Visigoths to the re-incarnation sub-theme of this epic thread.
We can spend a lot of time discussing the Visigoths and Hispania here.

Will it take us to the Opening Ceremony of Rio 2016?
Any predictions?

...Despite your unbelief, I am still not giving up that the prophecies failed...Thank you and Agatha for offering to help translate the Spanish text to English. The title is Inscripciones cristianas de la Espana Romana y Visigoda. I would like to know who the kings and/or princes during the first century AD. Also, it is said that the dating of the reign of kings was in reference to the date of Jesus Christ birth in 38 BC. As per my calculation, Jesus was born in 33 BC.

No worries, PC!
Just post up the links and we're on it.
Roman and Visigothic Spain are great topics to explore and discuss.

... Ama said that it was Philip I, the very first, who was married to Reneliniyindi. ...
The Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM) is not one of the reincarnations of the spirit that is in Ka Apaz. According to Ama, the spirit that is now in Ka Apaz was taken from the heart of Mary while she was still in Heaven (http://aristean.org/pahayag002.htm - the 16th paragraph from start of body). I think Mary in Heaven was called “Gumamela Celis”. That is why Ama calls Reneliniyindi as his sister (“kapatid”) because Jesus was born by the BVM and the spirit of Reneliniyindi came from the BVM as well. ...

Hmmm.
Today is 16 August 2012.
Yesterday was the Feast of the Virgen de la Paloma. Hugely popular holiday in Madrid and the street celebration went on til well past dawn.

PC, haven't you realised that all this about a non-existent Egyptian girl just shows how shoddy the flimflam is?
I'm confused-Is KA claiming her 'spirit' is Jesus Christ now?

Dateline London

Stratford still intact no explosions, volcanoes or deadly plagues yet....

My bad. Replace 'Thai' with 'Spanish' then.

I'm sure there was something about Thailand.

Perhaps you read my mind about the Thai curry I'm preparing for lunch?
Would this count as a prophecy?

Anyway.
PhilipI

We have lots and lots of choices for discussion here!
Starting with WHICH Philip I?

Philip I of France
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_I_of_France
Philip first married Bertha, daughter of Floris I, Count of Holland, in 1072. Although the marriage produced the necessary heir, Philip fell in love with Bertrade de Montfort, the wife of Count Fulk IV of Anjou. He repudiated Bertha (claiming she was too fat) and married Bertrade on 15 May 1092.

Philip I of Castile (Juana la Loca's husband, you know). He's also called Philip the Fair and was featured for a bit in the Shroud thread, because of his connection with the Holy Prepuce.

Then there's Philip the Arab:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_the_Arab
His Empress was Marcia Otacilia Severa
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcia_Otacilia_Severa

Not many references to Rennyliniwhatsit.

And on to the mystery of 38 BCE!
Back to wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_era

...The Spanish era, Hispanic era or Caesar era refers to the dating system used in Hispania until the 14th century, when the Anno Domini system was adopted. It began with year one in what is 38 BC,[1] probably the date of a new tax imposed by the Roman Republic on the subdued population of Iberia. Whatever the case, the date signifies the beginning of the Pax Romana in Hispania. To convert from a date in the common era to the corresponding year in the Hispanic era, add 38 to the common-era year.[1] A date in the Hispanic era was written thus: "Era CMXLI" for "anno domini [AD] 903". ...

PC, we can explore this dating thing longer if you like, but I think you'll find the Visigothic dating to be a non-starter.
Whenever you post up the link you'd like translated, I'm game to see what we come up with.

Thursday no nuclear holocaust the Olympics came and went Paralympics ongoing, Stratford intact

So I guess that proves this partucular prophet is a purveyour of pap

@PeaceCrusader, #3521

It is good, PeaceCrusader, that you now accept that this is what you are doing. Thank you for your elucidation of one of the cognitive errors that you are making.

Did you know, PeaseCrusader, that confirmation bias is our tendency towards seeking and valuing evidence that confirms our preconceived ideas or discarding and devaluing contrary evidence.

Please do be aware of this way (one of the many ways) that our flawed brains may act to cause us to sincerely belief things which simply and obviously not true.

What makes you think that confirmation bias is a reliable way to search for the truth of the Holy Spirit?

These are also not performing flights over the scorched lands of the Philippines...

Admit, PC, you've been fooled by that fake medium and by yourself. You made a fool of yourself, you wasted time and money on it all, you defended a hideous belief.

You lied.

Admit it.

Peace Crusader, what is your plan of action

- should the prophecy come true during the Paralympics

- should your prophecy not come true then?
