The Word Is Out -- Straight from the gut of Columbia Classmate Wayne Allyn Root

"He was raised as a young boy in Indonesia. But did his mother ever change him back to a U.S. citizen? When he returned to live with his grandparents in Hawaii or as he neared college-age preparing to apply to schools, did he ever change his citizenship back? I’m betting not."

When you were a child, did your parents ever take you abroad on vacation? If so, how did you 'get your citizenship back' when you got home?

I totally thought this would be about finding bodies. Big O would get mad street cred for that, 2nd term for sure.

Like if the POTUS was a Dexter in his spare time, only killing racists.

Or the Phelps clan. It would be a total landslide.

"In breaking news, CNN has learned that the ongoing case of the missing Phelps family members can be traced back to a secret slush fund tied to a "high-ranking" member of the Obama Administration. Sources inside the White House say..."

I've highlighted the the biggest chunks of fail here. I would suggest you take this to Conspiracy Theories, where this latest strain of Birtherism belongs.

While there are elements of Birtherism here, this really is more a display of transcripterism.

Oh, Robert Prey, I wish I could quit you.

Let's summarize. A Columbia graduate never remembers meeting Barack Obama. He then surmises that Barack Obama got bad grades. In fact the exact words are "....I believe you’d find that... His grades were not those typical of what we understand it takes to get into Harvard Law School."

So you are saying that is not a fishing expedition? Look, I sometimes speculate on politicians when I have absolutely no evidence, but I always preface those speculations with "I have absolutely no evidence to support this belief, yet nonetheless, I believe that..."

No evidence has been present so no evidence needs to be discounted or debunked.

......

Now here is the fascinating part. After reading all the replies you will not change your position even one degree. Not even a single arc-second.

The onslaught of stupid accusations that will be thrown about looking for publicity after this stupid accusation is taken seriously, for starters.

From the link; "Romney should call a press conference and issue a challenge in front of the nation. He should agree to release more of his tax returns, only if Obama unseals his college records. Simple and straight-forward. Mitt should ask “What could possibly be so embarrassing in your college records from 29 years ago that you are afraid to let America’s voters see? If it’s THAT bad, maybe it’s something the voters ought to see.” Suddenly the tables are turned. Now Obama is on the defensive."

Yeah, unless Mitt has something to hide. Perhaps this is why he is NOT doing this exact strategy. And when the "tables are turned" and Obama immediately opens up his records, and makes Mitt look like a bigger fool than he is doing on his own, then what?

This is Romney's current huge problem: His strategists will believe he can get elected with not showing his returns like (they believe) Obama got elected and did not show his full birth certificate. So, Romney will not show his tax returns. But the situation is not the same, and this decision is going to destroy Romney's chances.

That guy's the first ever affirmative action President! He's actually not smart at all. Didn't earn anything in his life, had it all handed to him, and leapfrogged over whiter people who were more deserving.

I'm not POTUS, he is; I'm white and he's not. He terk mah jerb!

Nice source. I could get better information from a landfill.

However, here's some better information that I got without having to dig in the mud (bolding is mine):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_Root

Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School, then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political Science major (in the same class as President Barack Obama), although Root states that he does not have any recollection of having met or seen Obama at Columbia,[7] which may have had as many as 20,000 undergraduates at the time.[8]

I'd expect that Mr. Root probably doesn't remember about 19,500 or so other undergraduates he attended school with.

And I see he used that degree well:

Root's TV handicapping career began in New York City on WNBC radio (now WFAN) in the early 1980s. He moved onto NBC "Source Radio Network" syndicated around the country in over 100 markets as a sports talk host. He later became one of the youngest anchormen and national TV hosts in America from 1989 through the early 1990s on Financial News Network (FNN), now known as CNBC.

Root is spokesman, board member and Senior Economic Adviser to Wealth Masters International ("WMI"), a global financial services and education company based in Houston, Texas.[10][11] Norwegian authorities have suspended WMI's sales, finding it to be an illegal pyramid scheme. Root is named in the finding.[12] Root has partnered with Kip Herriage of WMI and Gerald Celente to create the "Crashproof Prosperity Investment Newsletter".[13]

So the guy is a sports tout and a scammer. I'm not inclined to believe any of what he says.

So, Romney will not show his tax returns. But the situation is not the same, and this decision is going to destroy Romney's chances.

I think that strategy might change soon if someone points out the latest public opinion polls.

Obama is a 53% favorable president, Mitt is around 40% IIRK. I don't think those polls are comparing the two either, just giving opinions on them separately.

OK, found the story I saw.

I hope that my fix is correct, though it won't surprise me if the public forgets who drove the car into the ditch. :)
This is the equivalent of Dan Rather's botched 2004 story on George W. Bush's National Guard service. Like it or not, there is almost nothing in Obama's distant past that will affect this election significantly. The election will hinge, as all reelection campaigns do, on the past four eight years alone.

Like all the rest of the "Deep Thinkers" on this board, you just don't get it.
"The Word is Out" is a parody of Harry Reid's challenge to Romney. Completely and totally sophomoric and idotic. Just like Harry Reid. Get it now????

  1. "The Word is Out" does not appear anywhere in article you linked in the OP. You added that.
  2. It would only be a parody if it somehow mirrored Reid's challenge. It doesn't. It's formulated as a counter to Reid's challenge.
  3. Are you saying, because you say this is a parody, that you don't believe there is anything in Obama's college transcript and that there is no real reason for him to release it?

Looks like Philip J. Berg has been disbarred for a year and will have retake the bar exam.

I am not sure that's accurate. The disciplinary board hearing is still showing as "pending", there is nothing in the "effective" column, and Berg is still showing as "active" in the PA bar. I think that the docket posted shows a recommendation of the hearing committee and that the committee's report has been filed but that it is not a final disposition at this point. I believe that the report has to go to the court to either accept, reject, or modify, and it is the court that makes an actual order about the disciplinary matter.

I could be wrong, but that's how I read it.

This kind of hit rhetoric, unsupported by any evidence whatsoever, is all the Republicans have this year.

Compared to a guy on their banner whose church at least used to believe that god darkened your skin for being a sinner...
