Tea Party Smeared by ABC

I like how you can only be one of two things.

1. A tea party member

2. An Occupy member

If you are against the tea party you must be pro everything occupy.

Ross did a dumb thing but this thread is downright idiotic.

Remember when the Tea Party activists were behind vandalism, arson, rapes, the spread of hepatitis and body lice, and defecating on police cars?

Yeah, me neither.

Yeah gee, but I do remember Teatards interrupting town hall meetings, vandalizing representative offices, congressional offices receiving threatening phone calls...

... and Teatards harassing Mexicans:

...although it says "La Raza member" at the beginning of the video, I have personally contacted trinitytexas77 who says there was no proof that the people in this video were a member of any gang. However, there is full proof that the protesters were taunting both the young man and his family (or we're to assume they are at least the child's guardian).

Keep repeating that the Tea Party didn't associate themselves with any acts of violence, if you keep repeating it someday you'll actually believe it. ;)

Somebody's been watching too much pr0n from the 70's.
Including an editor at CBS. Before they fix it, though it's been up for twelve hours:
AP through CBS said:
The Democratic governor appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday and says officers are getting a lot more evidence from suspect John Holmes' apartment and are learning more about him moment by moment.
Personally, I knew far more about John Holmes than I wanted to some years back.

Ah yes, the old "fake but accurate" defense. So what if something isn't literally true, as long as it's a Higher TruthTM.

You think La Raza is a gang? You wasting your time dude, go get a life. Then quit trying to make up clever stuff about things half way around the world that you half understand.

If that much.

They probably meant 'National Council of La Raza members', which is a Hispanic civil rights group.

Which I guess makes it alright to harass them???

Or they might have meant La Raza Unida Party, which is a racialist and separatist party that wants to "liberate" large parts of the US through revolution.

Brian Ross pulled a boner. No doubt. But stupid mistakes happen every day on TV, especially under time pressures. And it's not just the "liberal press", Fox makes a art form of it.

So, Robert, what about this particular incident motivated you to start a thread about it but not all the others?

What "others"? It's a routine thing with the mainstream press to smear the "Right'.

To which there is not a shred of proof that the Mexicans in this video were either.

So some nobody went and pulled some third rate junior high newspaper type journalism and is immediately called on it.

So what is the big deal here?

Not only that, but wasn't the Tea Party said to be responsible for the Giffords shooting?

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...used-blaming-tea-party-for-giffords-shooting/
"It's obvious that Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz is exploiting the Tuscon tragedy -- in which several bystanders were killed and several more were injured -- for purely partisan political gain," Association president Teri Adams said in a written statement. "Wasserman-Schultz and the Democrats know very well that the perpetrator of the Tucson shooting was an unstable individual with left-wing sympathies, someone whose world views were more Occupy than Tea Party."

Seems more of a pattern than isolated incidents, doesn't it?
After all these years you still don't get it.

If you wish to make a case that person A said something, you need to show what A said, not person B's opinions about A's comments, especially when B is an advocate.

Of they could have been using 'la raza' in the traditional sense, which would just mean they are of Hispanic decent.

Since when does FoxNews (which is part of the mainstream press) smear the "Right"?

Or did you just mean the parts of the mainstream press that you don't like?

Thought experiment: someone with the same first and last name as you, who happens to live nearby, goes to a movie theater armed to the teeth and massacres a dozen people. Within an hour a talking head on TV news notes that a known atheist* and registered Democrat** who posts at the JREF forum under the handle "Travis" might be the suspect. Would you shrug it off and not think it was a big deal?

*Maybe not true, but since you post here you might as well be as far as cable news is concerned.
**Also maybe not true, but based on your previous posts I'll go out on a limb on this one.

Fox News it not mainstream media. And if Fox has ever smeared either the right or the left, the way ABC just did, I'd like to hear an example.
