Just a friendly, I agree that the Tpers are loons and rectums - BUT we need to hit them on the fecal matter thry put out, not the fecal matter they don't. Makes our guys look bad.............

This entire thread is wrong, it wasn't an organization - the Tea Party - that was smeared by the idiot. It was a mistaken assumption that an individual was another by the same name.

The damage done is to the individual, who is even now the subject of mockery and innuendo in this thread.

Leave him alone.

NO. The intent was clearly to smear the Tea Party people, the shooter as evidence of a liberal's stereotype fantasy of a right wing crazy such as the KKK. Although Ross had to apologize, the damage was done. Millions of viewers got the intended message that Tea Party people are dangerous and crazy. Onward to re-elect the Anointed One and his tax and spend gaggle of Marxist Democrats.

This thread is a tragedy from getting the names of the shooter and the reporter wrong to your hyperactive imagination. Breath it will be OK. I am sure the Teabaggers will bounce back from this cruel injustice or they could always challenge Brian to a duel.

Do you have a reference to evidence for this claim? Surely someone has asked him. It seemed to me to be just a product of stupidity on Ross' part. This should be grounds for immediate loss of credibility and jobs in the business of news reporting of any kind.

An effort to know something no one else knows...ego. For some reason it reminded me immediately of the Richard Jewell incident, though not really analogous.

Actually, it's not analogous. Jewell was named as a suspect, and therefore, he was news. In the case at hand, the reporter took the same sort of prejudices and hate displayed by some of the people in this very thread, used it to reach a mistaken conclusion, and put it on the air.

I think the part highlighted in your comment is well taken and most would agree with it.
