Disappointing, but not surprising. The old lady will be revealed as a fraud and a false prophet, and yet you will continue to follow her nonsense.

Ah, but that's an exhortation, not a prophecy so Betjemans reputation is still intact.
 
I have a suspicion that the Atomic Holocaust was subcontracted to G4S, which explains why none of the bombs have showed up for work.

You have made explicit claims about a prophecy you said came from an all-knowing and all-powerful entity. The prophecy has been proven wrong now. Your approach now to continue believing that you received communication from this entity is not logical. The idea that you will now pick and choose which bits of the purported communication to believe are "logical" (again, you abuse the language since there is no logical argument to believe you have received such communications or even that the omniscient and omnipotent entity exists) makes no sense at all. If the entity is omniscient, why would you reject some of what it says and accept others?

Doesn't it make more sense to admit simply that you were wrong? That what you claimed as truth was in fact false? And that what you keep claiming as knowledge is just unfounded belief (or faith)?

I don't know why I follow these threads with such interest on the day of reckoning. Same as with Paul wotshisface's world cup withering nothing will happen and the false prophet will slink off claiming that they were not wrong, it just hasn't happened yet.

But still I follow...
