Moderated Will the 2012 Olympic Games in London be held?

Peace Crusader, if the war does not take place next Wednesday will you admit that this woman was not channeling the holy spirit?

Or, alternatively, that she was channeling the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit is a false God?

When the dark is rising, six shall turn it back

The idea of a drought seems quite ridiculous given the flash flooding and constant rain here. If no apocalypse begins in the next half an hour or so that's another failed Wednesday as far as the UK is concerned, only one to go before Peace Crusader's prophecy fails.

Peace Crusader, can you explain which bits are your interpretations of the medium's words, and which bits are prophecies you have recorded verbatim? And while you are at it, could you explain why women will be less susceptible to the effects of nuclear war.

Perhaps you could also tell us what your understanding is of the effects of a nuclear bomb hitting, say, London and the effect on the almost eight million people who live there of which roughly half are women.

So you believe in gods like Athena, Shiva, and the Norse pantheon. Can they prophesy? Because that is what makes a god to be true and not false.

Logical fallacy: Non sequitur. An evil god could very easily choose to mislead people by dumping false prophesies upon humanity.

And I don't think your "Holy Spirit" is any better than Me at making prophesies. In about 2 weeks, your Holy Spirit will almost certainly be revealed as a fake, and I'll move up in the standings because I prophesied against a nuclear war. I also prophesied the death of Slobodan Milosevic, too, in the correct year.

There is also an old Norse prophesy, written in the Vóluspá from the Elder Edda, which correctly predicted the creation of a town called Gimli. It's in central Manitoba, and I Myself have been there several times. I expect to be placing some golden game pieces in the grass there this summer, probably near the Viking Village at the annual Icelandic Festival, and the moment they are found by a mortal it will complete that prophesy.

But don't worship Me, please. I'm not interested in having you as one of My followers.

Only you, yourself, who can save your soul, if you believe in a soul, from the fires of Hell.

Although I do not believe in your god and do not believe in its hell, I have taken a vow to go there of My own free will rather than accept a place in heaven. I do not worship gods who create or maintain places of eternal torment, and I do not allow anyone to die in My place to "save" Me from such a fate.

There are more men than women, especially in military installations where the ratio of man to woman is very high.

I'll say this again, a little bit differently: There is no known way to confine a massive nuclear war such that it will kill substantially more men than women. If the bombs drop, all of us are doomed -- Men, women, believers, non-believers, plants, animals, fish, just about everything on this planet which lives. It doesn't matter if the bombs only drop on military installations -- Death will not favour the women over the men.

After this war, we will have peace for a long time.

The "peace" of death? Certainly not "peace" in some perfect supernatural amusement park.

PC, I predict that at the moment of your death you will not wake up in the afterlife; in fact, I am strongly of the opinion that once your brain dies, "you" will be gone from the universe for eternity. Only your atoms shall remain, and they will eventually wander off to become other things. Some of those other things may be sentient. That, in My opinion, is the only "eternal life" one can reasonably expect to possess.

How will man know what is right from wrong if what he sees is only right or what is all wrong?

Knowing right from wrong has very little to do with free will, in My opinion.

The only true God gave us the commandments. If we obey His commandments, then we will not go wrong.

That's just plain silly, PC. First of all, you haven't proven that your "only true god" is real. Secondly, there are several sets of 10 Commandments in the Old Testament... And the 613 mitzvot as well. Have you written your own Torah scroll? Do you avoid winking at your cousin? Have you done the requisite purification of yourself after disposing of a dead mouse? It's all from the same book, you know.

They are all waiting and watching. Doubtful. Tongue-in-cheek. Spectators only. They do not go to where I go to. I share what I heard. It is up to you to believe it or not.

As a test, the world will suffer drought and famine. Even though you have money, no one is selling.

Baughman subcategory E332.3.3.1(d)

The earth has experienced many periods of drought, in many different regions, and humans have suffered many famines. Were all of those events "tests" too? If so, then Penn Jillette is correct: "God works in mysterious, inefficient, and breathtakingly cruel ways."

I'm glad you have family and friends who are aware of your beliefs, and I hope they will be available to help you with comfort and advice when your prophecies fail. Because your prophecies are going to fail.

Seven Stones...

...lay on the ground / Within the seventh house a friend was found / And the changes of no consequence will pick up the reins from nowhere...

As long as we all agree that Genesis went down the toilet when Peter Gabriel left. Mrs. Don on the other hand believes that Duke is the best Genesis album. IMO she is wrong, heretically so.

Duke? Eugggh. I think that was the last Genesis album I ever bought.

I'm also a Steve Hackett fan, and there are some great songs on Trick of the Tail (I think I could still play the synth line from Squonk, although I haven't done it for 20+ years) and Wind and Wuthering. Once Hackett left, though, it was game over.

My all-time favourite, though, is Selling England By the Pound. "The Cinema Show" is a lovely retelling of the Tiresias story from Greek mythology, and arguably one of the best keyboard solos ever recorded.

Yes, I believe that the medium Ka Apaz or Maria Liwayway Alvaran, the 73-year-old blind woman from Baliwag, Bulacan, Philippines, is channeling the Holy Spirit. [Not “sapi” (an extraneous spirit shares with the spirit of the person in the physical body) but “lakip” (the spirit of the person leaves the physical body, just this extraneous spirit appropriates the body)]. The Holy Spirit, I believe, after eleven years (1983-1994) is the spirit of Jesus Christ who we call Ama (when capitalized, it is translated from Filipino to English as God the Father). You may read about this in http://aristean.org/wp113.htm titled “From doubt to belief”. The Holy Spirit is the one who said that it will be Wednesday [when the nuclear world war will occur] and the 2012 Olympic Games will not be held [because of this war].

Will I renounce what I believe in if the 2012 Olympic Games starts as planned (and the nuclear world war does not happen prior to this on a Wednesday)? I repeat what I said before, which may not have been directed to you, Marcus, on page 30, message number 1189, I said, “If the prophecies do not happen, then I will stop believing in that spirit but I will continue my search for the true Holy Spirit. I firmly believe in the Holy Bible. I firmly believe that there are three persons in one God, that God made Himself into three - as the Father who spoke in the Old Testament, as the Son Jesus Christ who spoke in the New Testament, and as the Holy Spirit who we talk to now. I know that there are many spirits – good and evil spirits. If that spirit is not the true Holy Spirit, then I will continue my search of Him. I hope the spirit who we talk to now is the true Holy Spirit so that I do not have to search anymore.”
Thanks for the reply, PC. I read this answer before, but it doesn't answer my question. I understand you will stop believing in the spirit, my question is about the medium.

Will you stop believing in her? Will you think that she is a fraud? Will you think that she doesn't actually channel spirits of any kind?

Yes, I believe that

*snip*

Is there a reason you feel the need to keep repeating what you believe over and over and over and over? The dozens of other posts where you've stated the same things dozens of times have not gone anywhere, and we can still read them. There's no need to keep repeating yourself.

Are you under the impression that saying something enough times will make it true, or do you just not understand the difference between "what" and "why"? I'm guessing the latter, because every time you're asked why you believe what you believe, you respond either with a tautology or by repeating the OP for the seven-dozenth time.

Also, you can get rid of those annoying font tags by either pasting your post into notepad first, which will get rid of the formatting... not sure why you can't just type them into the reply box, though. They're mostly copy-paste anyway.

Peace, have you noticed that all of the articles you have linked to about the problems coming about due to the conflicts in the South China Sea seem to be discussing the best ways to settle the dispute, and that none of them seem to be saying that the obvious upshot is that China will launch nuclear weapons against countries that are, for all intents and purposes, defenseless?

It's only you and your Tagalog speaking Spirit who seem to think this is WWIII material.

15 Days and Counting Down...

And Wednesday has commenced to segue to Thursday (as it has for the past fifteen thousand weeks) in the USA. I suppose to be technically accurate, we should wait for the day change to move across the USA and to its Pacific states and territories, but Asia is well into Thursday, already. And apparently there are no missiles being launched, troops being mobilized, or civilians heading for shelters. One Wednesday left to go.

It's almost 1:00 AM on Thursday in the eastern US and no news of mushroom clouds from any part of the world.

Only one Wednesday left, PeaceCrusader...

Just turned Thursday in Winnipeg. I hear a cat meowing downstairs, but otherwise I've got nuthin'.

55 Days at Peking

I went around to yoour website and found this, PeaceCrusader:
During our conversation, Anthony was enthusiastic to show me the book that he had been reading. The title of the book was A Scientific Approach to Biblical History by R. W. Faid. Anthony is a born-again Christian and was interested in knowing scientific proofs about his Christian faith. Before we parted, Anthony lent the book to me to be returned the following day.

At home, I browsed through the book, and found out that the number of Jesus is 888. The book illustrated how this came about using the Greek Numeral System. I was surprised because the number is the number of our post office box. I was not able to photocopy the page but just remembered how 888 was derived.

Robert Faid?
This Robert FaidWP:
In 1993, Faid was awarded the Ig Nobel prize for Mathematics for calculating the exact odds (710,609,175,188,282,000 to 1[2]) that Mikhail Gorbachev is the Antichrist, based on his 1988 book Gorbachev! Has the Real Antichrist Come?

On hearing about the award, Faid said "It's a serious book, not a joke... mathematically minded people use numbers to answer many questions, even questions that are not overtly mathematical."

Yes, Marcus, if the prophecies do not happen, not only will I stop believing in that spirit but also in Ka Apaz. When I asked the Holy Spirit before point-blank if He is the true Father (or Ama in Filipino), and not the Father who talks to someone in the town or the Father who talks to Aurora in the village where I lived in the Philippines, His reply to me was to scrutinize what He says and I will know who He is. That is why it took me eleven years (1983-1994) of doubt before I believed that He must be the true Father.

Although I believed that He is the true Father, five years later, in 1999, when we connected to the Internet, I checked if His revelations that Jesus Christ was born on May 23 and died on August 17 were true. Did you know that had I proved that they were wrong, I would have renounced my belief in Him and called Him a fraud? But both of them were true and correct which I found in 2004 and in 2006. Even after 2006, I still got proof from the Holy Bible itself substantiating what I found. You may find the results of my studies at http://aristean.org/birthmay23.htm and http://aristean.org/crucifyidx.htm .

Now, I am putting my belief in Him in question again. If His prophecies of the nuclear world war does not occur on a Wednesday prior to the Opening Ceremonies of the 2012 Olympic Games in London and its cancellation as a result of this war, I will renounce my belief in Him and in Ka Apaz. There is only one Wednesday left, 07-18. And the Games is nearing to be opened on 07-27. My faith in Him though remains steadfast. But we will see. It is only a few days left. I know that He is never late.

So my suggestion to you, Marcus and others, change your wrong beliefs now and repent. One can only be saved by his belief in the only true God and deeds, and not by his religious affiliation or anything else.

PC, did you read these facts prior to your conclusion on a date for the birth of Jesus?:

"The Gospel of Luke claims (2.1-2) that Jesus was born during a census that we know from the historian Josephus took place after Herod the Great died, and after his successor, Archelaus, was deposed. But Matthew claims (2.1-3) that Jesus was born when Herod the Great was still alive--possibly two years before he died (2:7-16). Other elements of their stories also contradict each other. Since Josephus precisely dates the census to 6 A.D. and Herod's death to 4 B.C., and the sequence is indisputable, Luke and Matthew contradict each other."
