Six, as long as we all agree that Genesis went down the toilet when Peter Gabriel left. Mrs. Don on the other hand believes that Duke is the best Genesis album. IMO she is wrong, heretically so.

I've only recently got into Prog Rock (being an infant in its heyday) and have particularly enjoyed Caravan and Curved Air. Prog Rock is excellent music to jog to.

Maybe it will take eight hours for the nuclear exchange because the opposing forces have to conserve their nuclear weapons, as I suspect that not all will be participating right away like Russia, for example. I think it will be mainly between the US and China. The US will be devastated because the Holy Spirit said that the Philippines will be occupied by the Chinese like what the Japanese did to the country in World War II.

That's hugely unlikely. There would be no need to conserve nuclear weapons at all. As for Russia not getting involved, do you know how nukes work? The huge amount of fallout would spread from China to Russia. They would launch at the US right away.

ETA: If for some reason they didn't and China were the only nuclear power to attack the US, for one thing the US nuclear stockpiles hugely outnumber the Chinese ones. IF China were the only attacker, the US would be severely hurt but would probably survive. On the other hand, with the UK and France weighing in on China in support of the US (which they both would) China would be utterly devastated.

The ratio of woman to man is almost equal with regard to population. However, I believe that in the work force in the city, especially in offices, there are more men than women.
 
I doubt that is correct, particularly in London. Women are well represented at all levels in all professions and occupations and will be over-represented (in terms of a 50/50 split) in offices. However, Mashuna's point was that should a nuclear bomb hit London, it doesn't matter whether the women are at work or at home, they'll be obliterated by the bomb just the same. Nothing about being in their homes, not even an investment in draught excluders, will save them from the effects of a nuclear blast which hits London.

Oh, so God is KJV only then? Most (all) other translations have mankind in there. Doesn't "Sa pamamagitan ng tatlong ito, ang apoy, ang usok at ang nagniningas na asupre, ay pinatay nila ang ikatlong bahagi ng mga tao." translate to mankind?

Nope. If you have Full WYSIWYG Editing selected under Options in the forum User Control Panel, and you cut and paste from Word, then all kinds of stupid formatting will be retained and converted to BB Code tags. So don't do that ...

Are you suggesting that the unemployed are immune to death by nuclear weapon? Are you further suggesting that the ratio of unemployed women to unemployed men is near 10:1?

Minor quibble: It was when Steve Hackett left that they went downhill. The first two albums (oh yeah, and the live one--Seconds Out) with Satan at the helm were quite good.

To bring it back to the topic: shouldn't a reunion with Peter and Steve have been the top priority for the Olympic planning committee?

The thread is about PC's claim. Sabrina attacked his claim with the argument that her God is different. That makes her claim relevant to this thread.

FWIW, I have already made this exact point recently. So if you want to argue that my posts are off topic, you should at least respond to the argument I've made rather than just repeating the assertion I have refuted.

ETA: And to reiterate my point: one set of God claims is no more "crazy" than another set.

It is certainly no more rational to claim that there can only be one angel dancing on the head of a pin than it is to claim that there can be one thousand.

Invisible Pink Unicorns are just as irrational a concept as Invisible Green Unicorns.

A vengeful God is just as irrational as a smiley loving God. (And I would submit that neither concept can be internally consistent with traits used conventionally to define "God" anyway.)

There is no point in arguing that certain traits of Sagan's invisible garage dragon are more rational than others given that none of the traits are measurable or detectable in any way, and any measures or observations you take look exactly the same as they would if the dragon didn't exist at all.

And even if it were, how exactly does that translate to a disproportionate killing of men compared to women in a global nuclear war?
