Conscious Creation of Reality

What I am coming to understand is that each individual creates his/her own day to day experience; our consciousness creates the lives we experience daily.

This isn't totally wrong. If we want something, we can make it happen by figuring out how to get it and then making it happen. For instance, I wanted to get a job where the most challenging activity wasn't carrying boxes around. I wished and wished and wished for such a job, but it didn't materialize until I went back to school and got a degree.

Of course, sometimes you can do all the right things and still not get what you want. Los Angeles is full of gifted actors, screenwriters, and directors who have to wait tables for a living.

You secretly WANT to be fat, of course!

Like any good crackpot theory, it works no matter what the circumstances.

Yeah, that's the basic idea.

And the developmentally disabled person secretly wanted a brain aneurysm. And the moose that wandered onto the road secretly wanted to be hit by a car even though it previously lived its whole life in a wilderness area and had never seen a road or a car before.

And what's really amazing is that the driver of the car, that hit the moose, also secretly wanted to hit a moose and destroy his car in a remote region. And somehow the universe (apparently having nothing better to do) ingeniously arranged for them both to be there so that both their secret wishes could be fulfilled.

I can't quite make it work for the tsunami, though. Did every single person killed, injured, left lonely, made homeless, or put out of a job by the tsunami secretly want that? Or did the majority secret wish overrule the ones whose secret wish was to continue living their lives as they were?

Respectfully,
Myriad

Look like to who or what? Reality does not exist without a conscious observer/participant.
Really? Have you thought that through?

Do you know that when particles at the quantum level are arranged non-locally, there is no conscious being observing the energy forms? In other words, particles only fall into localization (a certain localized focal point) upon conscious observation.

We're talking about the stuff that's there whether you believe in it or not.
Sure. Which changes reality not at all.

Like buildings as such. So what about them?

Which changes reality not at all. Again, your belief is what you want to believe. I am facilitating discussion about a topic that may empower you to achieve whatever is important to you.

Yes, but we KNOW there is such a thing as electricity. If you care to take the time, you can learn all about it from the work of many very bright people who figured it out. This "creating reality" business, on the other hand, is unfalsifiable speculation. You can't learn how it works because there is nothing to learn.

You are right, I could figure out electricity works. This is unfalsifiable? With current technology, yes. Perhaps, you have to set up mass case studies to investigate this phenomenon. What everyone wants is different.

If I create my own reality, then why the hell am I so fat?

Perhaps, it has to do with a belief of self-respect.

You have just over-created. Cut back a little. It's a common mistake. I do it myself. :)

:) Exercise can help with that, if you believe in cardiovascular exercise. I do; I am fit.

I made the same mistake. I just wanted a LITTLE skin cancer.

What did you learn from the experience?

Well I'm convinced of one thing, the poor reception of his ideas here is entirely the conscious creation of the OP.

beesc1: an important question.

If this is true in a way that is meaningful to our understanding of the universe, there would need to be a way to distinguish a reality where your proposition is true, from a reality where your proposition is false.

Can you think of a way to tell the difference? Instead of thinking, "If I'm right, how can I prove it?" sometimes it's more edifying to consider the converse: "If I'm wrong, how would I know?"

Nope.

It's been done. It doesn't work.

Through exploring my mind and friends of mine exploring their minds, the terms reality creation and conscious creation has come up frequently. Recently, I have been reading books such as Ten Thousand Whispers: A Guide to Conscious Creation, Reality Creation 101, and The Reality Creation Technique. What I am coming to understand is that each individual creates his/her own day to day experience; our consciousness creates the lives we experience daily. Whatever we experience, we invite into our world. Our inner thoughts manifest as external experiences. I am learning that we have to be responsible for everything in our lives because we are the ones who manifested those things in the first place. What do you think? Are the familiar with the Seth Material?

Tell me, have you ever been to Africa?

I have no answer for this.

I am trying to form a healthier and more liberating belief regarding the forum.

So you are again talking about falsifiability. Let us know, how that goes for you. I will stick with the belief that if I am right, I can see it turn out in any various ways which aid in more freedom. You can try out the “Oh, I do not believe I have any input regarding the reality I experience,” and you will experience reality by default, whatever the system of greed and corruption has programmed you to experience.

What you believe has no effect on reality.

That is your belief and it is kind of belief that limits your successes in life. The one I expressed gives the individual the worldview that constructs a reality full of abundance.

Tell me, have you ever been to Africa?

Not yet.

The same way it does now.

It seems that yogi, meditation, and visualization are practices that improve one’s ability to consciously live out a life that is full of happiness, health, and wealth. Reality starts with what you think. A habitual pattern of thought forms a belief. Those beliefs create attitudes and desires; your desires form an intention, subconsciously or consciously. And your deeply held attitudes construct the physical components of matter is such a way that is consistent with whatever you believe.

Because you don´t have enough faith. Probably you have some secret sins too.

Reality does not exist without a conscious observer/participant.
(...)
How did the world, solar system, and universe operate before there was life and/or conscious life?
You just said that universe does not exist without a conscious observer. But wait, therefore God. OK problem solved.

we have these powers of conscious creation to manifest a world of health, wealth, and happiness for ourselves. You can take it or leave it.
Oral Roberts and Robert Schuller would be proud of you.

Don´t you have power to manifest a world of health, wealth, and happiness to anyone else than yourself only?

When a basketball player visualizes himself making every free throw shot, as compared to no visualization, his percentage of made free throw shots is significantly higher.
True. This proves that our mind has the power to give commands to our own body parts. Ring any bells?

This is categorically untrue.

When I was two years old, I must have really wanted to develop an allergic reaction to pollen and animal dander.

It goes very well for me actually, because I don't find myself deluded by my imagination. If there's no way to know whether you're right, how can you say your experience is improved? It seems like all you're left with is confirmation bias. Something good happens is evidence to you, but if evidence can only accumulate and negatives never count against the theory, you can wind up believing all kinds of things that aren't true, and that you would notice weren't true if you bothered to check rigorously.

You should go, and not just the tourist parts. Maybe take a trip to West Africa and meet all the children with malaria. Then swing by the Democratic Republic of the Congo and meet the malnourished rape victims. When you're done with that please explain why they create this reality for themselves.
