December Stundie nominations

You are:

a) kidding, or
b) not a resident of the U.S., or
c) not a baseball fan.

(I suppose it could also be a combination of the last two...)

I think it was an attempt to be clever. I mean it's not Abbott and Costello quality but it was mildly humorous.

Ok, erm.. what??

I wasn't kidding, I'm not a resident of the US and I know diddley squat about baseball. I just misread darrell as derail, and then got a bit carried away. I wasn't trying to be clever, sorry, but I am heartened to know that I can be mildly humorous even unintentionally.

If it wasn't for unintentional humor we wouldn't have the Stundies.

See, your primary mistake was being frivolous in a fairly serious forum. There are other topics down in the "Members Only" side for things like jokes, TV, sports, etc...

Another offering from our good friend Stelios at Icke Forum:

Is that how you believe things work?
Dont run the engines the majority of the 250,000 mile trip?
Try that next time you fancy driving out to the seaside and see how far you get.
250,000 miles carrying all that payload plus an extra 840lbs and all you have to power the spacecraft is some pretend sci-fi fuel cells.
You would actually have to make the entire journey without running the engines

Fact: Newton's First Law of Motion states an object in motion will remain in motion unless acted upon by some force.

Fact: Isaac Newton was born on Earth.

Therefore, Newton's First Law of Motion only applies to objects on the Earth.
Don't be silly. Our atmosphere is 250,000 miles high. Everyone knows that.

Wait, I thought CT forum was included there! Is it supposed to be serious? Never noticed...

:D

Don't worry. The baseball player is Darryl, so you weren't even mis-reading the right word.

Wow, I guess asteroids now have rocket engines too. Otherwise they'd just stop way out in space and never threaten anything.

You know, I think you've put it into perspective exactly how stupid his ideas are. I hadn't considered this aspect before, but now it seems obvious.

For that matter, what about the planets?

This is not a proper stundie, since it is not a post or a statement; it is simply an act of total stupidity.

It seems that the geniuses over at WND decided to fly a banner stating "Where's the Birth Certificate" over an NFL game.

The game was indoors, so none of the football fans watching the game saw it.

'Doh!!!

I may be wrong but it looks like they flew the banner of the stadium during the day, and the game was that night. So WND flew the banner over an empty closed stadium.
