Nonsense. People here lease the hunting rights on ranches. Usually a group will lease several thousand acres for the season. Then they go down there to set up the towers and feeders perhaps 3-6 times before deer season, and different members of the group will go on various weekends during the season.Pretty true. Due to the lack of public land, most Texan's don't hunt, they lease bait stations that they visit during deer season.

Assuming it is deer restricted by season. Axis deer, shoot anytime. Same with javelina and wild pigs. Other rules for turkey, quail, etc. But the big action is with white tail deer.
