Depending on wher in the building the section came from, it could be as light as 8k lb at the top where the steel was 1/4" thk and over 50k lb where the steel was 3" thick

According to Oystein half a panel would weigh about 13,500 pounds or around six tons.

Great. Smack in the range that Animal provided.
You followed my calculation, so you are aware that my estimate was just aiming at a rough ballpark figure, right? My result is an average panel (i.e. not accounting for different plate thickness depending on floor height), and could easily be off by plus/minus 50%.

Just a sanity check, in other words: 600,000lbs is unreal.

Putting aside who was right, I am an excellent speaker and I was very well prepared, better than Richard. Of course I was right, but in addition I was just the stronger debater.

That could well be. As I noted in your first thread here. That's not what my point was, though.

What does "government OTC" mean? Maybe I could understand your point but frankly I don't.

OCT means Official Conspiracy Theory.

Roughly from which level of floors did it come do you think ?

Hi Beachnut. The solidified steel is most likely largely still there.Would you like to have the link where I explain my hypthesis of it all ?

It wouldn't matter, because the 9/11 Memorial Museum proves that theory wrong. It's floor is the bedrock where the other columns were driven into the ground.

Yeah, your theory is BS, just like the rest of them.

I guess the 600,000 pound beam was a 'typo'. I'd love to see that four-ton chunk being carried by a peeling wall to a distance of 600 feet.(nearly two football fields end-to-end) Higher does not mrean further, especially in a straight-down-to-the-ground exclusively gravity driven collapse like WTC1 is supposed to have been according to the government story..

I suppose the giant hole that was created for this pool of molten steel will also be explained?

(Yeah right, who am I kidding. But hey, like SNS said, we could use a good laugh)

Is the new Freedom Tower where the Memorial Museum is situated built on the same spot as any of the collapsed buildings on 9/11 or is it built on another spot ?

The spots where WTC1 and WTC2 stood now have large memorial pools of water on them haven't they ? I thought I read that somewhere.

You're smart enough, Bill. You'll find the link you need to click on the page I just linked for you.

New video on free flying heavy steel sections from the Twin Towers is very informative and documents blast pressure wave effects

Pt 2

Again, I am not going to watch these videos.

Can you inform us quickly, please:
- What mass did those flying heavy steel sections have?
- How fast did they move laterally?
- In your opinion, why did they fly? What force accelerated them laterally?

In these debates it tends to be 9/11 truth theories on the hot seat. My guess is Gage does not want to spend his time getting the likes of Dave Thomas to credibly explain the NIST reports or the government OCT, however amusing that would be to watch. Bedunker points tend to align themselves with the government OCT. People feel safe with that explanation. If the OCT became the subject under scrutiny (as I think it will be at the Toronto Hearings) doubters in the audience would be better informed, rather than simply rhetorically persuaded.
OK, so I was in a room of 250 9/11 Truth believers and maybe 6 people who agreed with me, and you thought RICHARD was on the hot seat? Because we argued almost exclusively the science (and eyewitness reports), believe me neither of us had an inherent advantage. he had a friendly crowd. They were respectful but it would have turned ugly real fast if I had taken cheap shots at Richard. The Official Conspiracy Theory has nothing to do with who had the advantage in the debate. I had the inherent disadvantage of a crowd of people who disagreed with me; the Truth movement people did everything they could to level the playing field for me, which I appreciated. But this group was NOT comfortable with the Official Conspiracy Theory in any way, shape or form.

Yes. However, a portion of the museum sits underneath that, and they have exposed the bedrock and the profile of the steel columns that once stood there.
