Fine, call me an elitist, but if somebody is only slightly above average intelligence, I don't want that person in charge of my government.

Half the country is below the median. Chances are that the scores are heavily weighted toward the bottom end, and more than half the country is below average.

I sincerely hope that you did not interpret my comments to be an endorsement of Palindrome as a legitimate candidate for national public office? Palin is neither as intelligent nor as educated as I am. I have no personal experience with politics, but I believe I am better informed about both the US and the rest of the world than is Palin. I can think of no specific public service job I consider Palin a decent candidate for.

Sure it was. She started the tour with much fanfare, then quietly quit it. When asked about it, she concocted the jury duty story.

Let me put it this way, the bus tour has been "off" for longer than it was "on", so how is this not quitting it?

And you're extremely naive if you still think her bus tour stops have nothing to do with testing the waters for a possible bid for the GOP nomination.

Would you rather have a government of self-righteous know-it-alls? Do you really think the US Congress represents America's "best and brightest?" They're just well educated, most of 'em lawyers.

I'd rather have a government of hard working individuals of modest intelligence who KNOW they're not the "smartest guys in the room" and actually try to figure stuff out with expert information rather than a buncha high IQ knuckleheads who figger they all already know everything they need to know.

But not Sarah. I'd vote for a mangy dog to keep her out of office.

Why do you associate education with arrogance? It turns out that the opposite is true. The less you know, the less you understand your limits.

I'd ask for evidence thatnthe jury duty was a hoax.... Except that the truth of that excuse for postponing the tour is also irrelevent. That she has resumed the tour establishes thatnshe did not quit the tour.

I left Ranger School and returned more than a year later, yet I never quit Ranger School. Palin delayed and then resumed the bus tour - negating any argument that she quit the tour.

Are you actually arguing that because Palin might someday campaign, she must now be campaigning? Strange logic, that......... and she is back on the same "campaign trail" she temporarily left from. Again, negating any argument that the fool quit.
