Part of me was looking for an excuse to visit New Orleans, but unfortunately, parts of October are already filling up, and most of the guests I've seen before. Some of them lots of times.

I know the crowd will be good, so that's a point in its favor. I will have to see if I can make the scheduling work.

Despite the inconvenience of having to travel nearly three miles to the site, I plan to attend. I will also be available to show y'all the good places to party, dance and drink in town.

I also have to update the table, for, sadly, I have learned Donna's is no longer. Same for the Funky Butt. Two places I used to go for music. :(

Donna's is now Donna's on Rampart. Same location, new owners (and apparently some bad blood with the old ones). Haven't been there since the changeover, but judging by the calendar they're still booking good music.

I booked my room. Oddly, the Marriott and several other hotels are sold out on Sunday night, but have rooms Monday night. I would have expected the reverse, given that Monday is Halloween.

I'm coming in Wed & leaving Sun (as of now). I had hoped to stay Sun night and maybe Mon.

I'm registered. I had a good time at TAM9, hopefully this will be fun too. Plus I've never been to NOLA before.

Rooms were available for Sunday when I registered, btw.
