I loved being there more than a bit overwhelmed though. Don't get me wrong, everyone there was great. I just wasn't used to being with a large crowd of skeptics and scientists. To much fresh air all at once.

I'm still buzzed from going, need to try to make it again next year.

I was sort of expecting the speakers to be sort of dismissive, but it wasn't like that at all. Had a few great conversations with a number of speakers, including Phil Plait (who I owe much to for introducing me to the skeptical movement), Eugenie Scott, Robert Blaskewitz, Richard Saunders, Benjamin Radford. and I also got to speak some with Dave Thomas.

Hopefully I didn't come off as to much of a fool, but I really enjoyed myself.

The only problem I have is I couldn't recognise speakers to well, since mostly all I had was pictures to go by or voices.

they spent almost as much time, or longer, on questions than on their presentations. and 90% of the questions were intelligent and interesting as well.

I've been to cons where the questions are the same things over and over and you want to poke your own eyes out.
