Do you have any idea at all how difficult that would be, from an engineering perspective. There are literally hundereds of systems on a large passenger jet.

Again why?? If the airplans were remote controlled, why on earth would you require homing beacons. BTW have you seen the size of the arial on a homing beacon. And if there was a homing beacon, how come other airlines wouldn't pick u[ on it.

Yet not one of the pilots, all of whom were very experienced, signaled that a hijacking was in progress.

This is one of those claims that's kind of an acid test on whether or not a truther can think for himself. Common sense and a teeny, tiny speck of imagination is all you need to realize the "hijack code" claim is silly.

Be the first truther to answer this question please, Clayton. Why on earth would you be worried about setting the transponder(something that does nothing at all to improve your immediate, dire situation) when someone violently breaks into the cockpit and starts killing you. Maybe it'll help to try to imagine the situation. Or perhaps you might also lookup the time it took Fedex 705's crew to send a the 7500 code in a somewhat similar circumstance. The crews were just a little too busy trying to stay alive, and the resetting the transponder was pretty far down on the priority list.

Here's a picture of a typical 757/767 transponder control head. Walk me through sending the hijack code and explain how you can do it 1-2 seconds.

So, because there had not been a sucessful hijacking in the US in 20 years, it means it couldn't happen?

In 2004, the Red Sox had not won the World Series in 86 years. Yet, in October of 2004, we did exactly that. Does that mean it was a conspiracy?

No. No conspiracy. If the Cubs ever win the series, OTOH .... :D

Where's the human interest interviews, almost ten years later, of the people on TV on 9/11 who said they heard explosions?

One of the really good things about aviation is those who know don't broadcast.
It's something that you do, like preflight, cockpit checks.
And certainly changing the Squawk takes more than seconds...

There was a truther, either here or at ATS, who absolutely refused to believe that there wasn't a "hijack button" in the cockpit. Mind you, this truther had no evidence of the existence of this button, other than his own incredulity and some guy on 'teh interwebs' saying it existed(without any evidence, of course).

What the truther mind will go through to hold on to fantasy in the face of overwhelming adversity reality is truly a fascinating thing to behold.
