Were you aware that Edmonton is the home of the oldest mosque in the US and Canada? The Alberta muslim community has existed for more than 70 years with no terrorist attacks occurring in the province in that time frame.

No, Edmonton muslims are not part of the problem.

It has come to my attention that something I said in the above post was wrong and that I should retract the claim.

There has in fact been at least two attempted terrorist attacks by radical islamic extremists in Edmontons history. In 2000, the Beth Israel and Beth Shalom synagogues in Edmonton were firebombed by a lebanese muslim immigrant (who may have had links to the Iranian funded group Hezbollah which is considered a terrorist organization by the Government of Canada).

While elements of radical islam appears to have contaminated the Alberta muslim community, Alberta Muslims remain mostly peaceful.
