But I think it is fair to say that Bristol Palin should mostly be left out of political debates like this. She is not running for office.

Now, if Sarah Palin makes statements about how families shouldn't allow sex outside of marriage then she might well be accused of hypocrisy. But she's just a joke anyway and none of her supporters would be put off by any kind of hypocrisy or incoherence of hers if they haven't already.

Would she say families should not allow sex outside of marriage or would she say it is wrong outside of marriage.

I told my teenage son that I did not believe he should be having sex. When my wife found condoms in his room did that make me a hypocrit because he did not take my advice or because I did not lock him up so nothing that I feel is wrong could ever happen. The people who say Sarah Palin is a hypocrit because her daughter got pregnant never had normal children.

Yeah, I realize this and my post wasn't very well-worded.

What I had meant to say was that if Palin had condemned parents for not preventing their children having sex outside of marriage (who may well have advised their children in a similar way for all she knew) then it would be hypocritical not to live up to harsh standards.

But as I've pointed out on this thread already I think Bristol Palin should be left out of it and the scenario I envisaged was, as far I know, hypothetical.

You might also want to consider they list divorced, widowed, cohabitation and civil partnership on many forms.

Huckabee's opposition to her situation has nothing to do with her being a "single" parent, it's because she had sex outside a religious marriage.
Huckabee should come to Québec, and see that unmarried parents are doing fine.

you may have a point...you know, now that I think about it, I can recall back during my high school days and once a year, they'd bring by a guest speaker to discuss the ills of alcohol and drug use and invariably the speaker was a recovering addict who had been clean for years.

I should've just booed him when he came to speak...I mean, who does he think he is trying to lecture us!? He's trying to tell us how he did wrong and we shouldn't do the same! Only a non-drug using person should be able to speak on that subject!!
