Liberal blogger Mike Stark was on this story last September but now it's breaking in the mainstream press. (Yeah, I know it's the National Inquirer but the New York Times is working on it too.)

Not just one but two (count 'um, two!) babes, neither of whom is his wife. The Tan Man sure knows how to spread the love around!

New Speaker of the House JOHN BOEHNER is embroiled in a bombshell sex scandal - involving at least two different women, The ENQUIRER has learned!

Capitol Hill insiders and political bloggers have been buzzing about an upcoming New York Times probe - detailing an alleged affair that the 61-year-old married father of two had with pretty Washington lobbyist LISBETH LYONS.

And an ENQUIRER investigation has uncovered a bedroom encounter that Boehner - second in line of succession to the presidency - allegedly had with LEIGH LaMORA, a 46-year-old former press secretary to ex-Colorado Congressman JOEL HEFLEY.

Dude. It's the enquirer. I don't care if they say the NYT is working on a story, it's not an actual newsworthy story until something with more credibility than the National Enquirer prints it.

Given that the orange-tinted freak is unethical, alcohol-dependent, arrogant and malicious, I cannot so easily dismiss this allegation.
 
Why do Americans care so much about their politicians' sex lives? Shouldn't what matters be how well they govern, and let their private life be their private life?
 
1. I really would prefer elected official's private lives be private. An exception could be when such private actions are in direct conflict with their public proclamations.
2. At some point will a Republican ever respond to an argument with something other then a Tu Quoque
 
I think this kind of infidelity only annoys the public when they run on "family values" kind of platforms. It's not the behaviour itself, it's the hypocracy.
