That's the Guardian reinterpreting Cossiga's statement. If you read the original Italian newspaper article, then you wil see that there is no trace of irony in his remarks.

The title of the article states clearly that Cossiga says that the video(audio) of Bin Laden is a fake, with no indication of any irony at all.



Irony = baloney and you know it.

Cossiga was a sceptic from the earliest days saying as early as in 2001:

gordon thomas pretty much said some of the same things. i woulnt call him an antisemite. he even worte a book on the mossad and in that book he stated that the mossad motto was "by way of deception thou shalt do war." he had access to mossad agents when writing the book.

Now look at that. Evidence that Mossad wasn't involved in 9/11 and instead issued a warning to the Bush Administration, which it didn't heed. You see, this kind of questioning regarding the 9/11 attacks is perfectly legitimate. What could have been done to prevent the attacks? If the warnings had been heeded, would the attacks still have been possible? Instead you twoofers get bogged down in impossible controlled demolition scenarios, or as here, blaming it on the JOOS.

When we had this conversation last, we proved you wrong. Mossad's motto was "For by wise guidance you can wage your war" and is now "Where there is no guidance, a nation falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety".

Give me the name of a single Mossad agent that worked with Thomas on that book and I'll retract my statement. Ari Ben-Menashe, who likely wasn't a Mossad agent doesn't count.

that is exactly where i was going. there is no irony or humor in the first paragraph. he is describing a situation about a fake video that was suppose to create solidarity for berlusconi. and he even tells ya it was from mediaset, a studio owned by berlusconi. he sounds more pissed off than anything because berlusconi is trying to capitalize off a fake video.

If people want to take that seriously... Well, it's hard to know what to say.
