that is exactly where i was going. there is no irony or humor in the first paragraph. he is describing a situation about a fake video that was suppose to create solidarity for berlusconi. and he even tells ya it was from mediaset, a studio owned by berlusconi. he sounds more pissed off than anything because berlusconi is trying to capitalize off a fake video.

You cannot separate the two paragraphs, because the second says why it's supposed to be false. And the justification is feeble beyond words.

So, either he's being ironic. Or he believes it's fake, but has no solid reason to do so other than he wants to believe something else. Either way, his statement isn't going to help you very much.
