Well, I'm trying to apply a bit of common sense. Israel or city authorities in Jerusalem gave permission to allow Irving Maskowitz to develop the site which itself is collusion but I am very doubtful that the Israeli government decided to raze the hotel for him. Are they also going to build the site themselves and have Israeli government workers run the maintainence on the place?

That's not what I asked. I asked whether the Israeli authorities actually provided the bulldozers.

I already said that giving the permission counts as involvement of the Israeli authorities on some level.

I'm not hesitant to answer it at all, I'm not going to answer it because what I think is totally irrellevant to if it is illegal or not for private citizens in Israel to discriminate.

Now if you want to start a thread based on Israel adopting anti-disctimination laws, then you might be suprised on which side I am on, but simply starting another attack thread based on the actions of a private citizen is as silly as saying that the US Government is racist because of some woman in Niagara erecting a "Whites Only" sign advertising for Borders, or the Apartment blocks in NYC that would tell blacks that there were no available apartments.

I'm not the one that has a problem with it, you already stated that you did have an issue with such things.

Why limit it to West Jerusalem? Wouldn't the same problem apply to an Arab-only apartment in East Jerusalem too?

The ultra-orthodox will only live in ultra-orthodox housing projects as far as I know. They won't even live in the same neighborhoods are non-orthodox Jews. And neither do orthodox Jews apparently have issue with being absorbed by a future Palestinian state.

Housing discrimination against racial/religious/ethnic groups is immoral, unjust, and undemocratic.

It is totally illegal in the USA, and can bring someone a large fine and or prison. As it should be. If housing discrimination against ethnic/religious/racial groups is indeed legal in Israel, then Israel has a LOOOOOONG way to go..before it is a true western-style democracy.
