I will quote some replies to my own thread. I have decided to not respond to some people deliberately.

ETA:all that is really relivent to this discussion is mentioning what a concentration camp is what a 5 star hotel is... and where gaza is, also a shopping center.
Does anyone else know that Auschwitz wasn't a concentration camp,* but a death camp. death camp people are sent to die, -- concentration camp people are sent to similar conditions not to die, but to be put for indefinite detention often leading to death camps.
ETA:*Yes the point was to ad suspense, to saying it's a death camp, in this case really is the worst kind of concentration camp, or always depending on weather death-camp and concentration camp are always related terms in that way. anyway the distinction is correct. I would have to be honest and say that if feels somewhat inaccurate but I'll leave the statement for suspense.

Thanks for improving the accuracy of myClose, but not exactly accurate.
There were death camps -- Sobibor, for example -- which were used mainly simply to put Jews to death by gas. There were concentration camps -- Dachau, for example -- where people (including Jews) were imprisoned and, very often, worked / starved / "diseased" to death, but without gas chambers.
Auschwitz-Birkenau was the only camp which was both: it had both gas chambers to immediately kill many of the Jews who arrived, and a concentration camp where those Jews fit to be worked to death instead of being immediately gassed, as well as many other prisoners (Russians, in particular), were put.
This is why there are relatively more witnesses and survivors from Auschwitz than from any other death camp.
