Hundreds versus a couple. Do the math.
Not hundreds. I guess you forget that not one of the planes had anywhere near a full compliment of passengers. Four (or five) armed hijackers in a confined area have the advantage. The only people that might actually act are those that think they can do something. Perhaps if one person act you might get a mob but you actually have to be lucky enough to have that one in the first place.
All hijackers have to do is attack one person and that would be more than enough to keep most people away. It will also show the pilots that they mean business and almost assuredly the pilots will give the plane up rather than risk another person's life.
On Flight 11 Betty Ong actually says that the purser and one other person got stabbed (she wasn't sure with what), the first class section was filled with mace, and they could not contact the pilots. If I am not mistaken a similar scenario was given from UA93. On UA 93 they even have audio of the the flight being taken over. The passengers all basically stayed out of it until they learned that they were doomed and then they tried to take the plane down.
Policy? Do you think a man's brain is programmed with policy? A man's brain is programmed with instinct. Instinct says no. Instinct says you aren't taking my plane.
Bare assertion. Instinctual options are fight or flight and which one is chosen often depends on training as well. With humans you also get that pesky case of being able to train to ignore instinct thus you get the incidents of people being more than willing to risk their life or sacrifice their life when confronted with a very high risk scenario.
Honestly though how one is going to react when never having been presented with such a scenario is all just conjecture. More often than not how one reacts is how they have been educated or trained. If they know how to help or react they will reactor help if they don't they will either watch or run.
Once again, Hani Hanjour CRIED WHEN HE WAS ASKED TO LAND HIS CESSNA AT HIS FLIGHT SCHOOL. One hundred out of one hundred times I will wrestle that man to the ground and rip his face off. I will not put the lives of so many people in the hands of such a person--never. I'm sorry to hear you would.
So he cried? Big deal. Good thing he wasn't landing Flight 77. Funny thing is you can make all sort of assumptions based on what you read now but not one single person on those flights ad ever met or knew anything about any of their hijackers. By the time anyone could react people were already injured and killed and it was easy peasy to take the flights over from there. Perhaps Hanjour didn't even have to deal with having to do the heavy lifting to take over the planes. That is why the other guys were there. The other guys were the muscle to put Hanjour in the pilot seat. Having him take part in the forceful part of the attack would risk their mission because Hanjour was the only one that had training to fly the plane.
Seriously do you ever try and think for yourself or do you just wholeheartedly buy everything your twoofer handlers are trying to sell you? I am always amazed at how shallow the analysis of 9/11 is by the truther rubes.
