2010 Election Results

I'll assume what I want

And I still don't want to pay for you or anyone else

Have you ever thought of coming to the US,

I'm sure you could make a lot more:D

You are right you can do as you like. I said, you should not assume, as it made you look silly when you assumed (A) I lived in the USA, (B) that you had to pay for MY health care, and (C) that I was unemployed. But you are right...so go on assuming things.

I have thought of moving to the USA. In many ways, I find the USA very attractive. I think most of the people there are wonderful. However, there are certain things that keep me here.

Bad attitude. No man is an island. We've all got to work together. Well, we don't have to, but if we don't the load is heavier for each, in the aggregate.

Yes I look silly wanting to pay my own way.

And yes, most of the people here are wonderful
Most of the people where you are from are wonderful also

You are right

But I don't want government telling me who to help

I want to be led to help in my own way, things that I 'am passionate about.

So lets all help where we can and want to be most effective

Letting the government control it is the lazy mans way.
It leads to failure. Then you can talk about all your great intentions.

I think they care about letting me pay for my own healthcare

Get your own, I don't want to pay for you.

Maybe Sarah Palin could lend you some money, since you can't afford it

Or maybe you should just get a job

You self insure?

Things appear to be pointing to Murray retaining her miniscule lead in WA due to a large number of uncounted votes in liberal King county, at least according to some analysts.

Of course one can never be sure in a state where gay libertarians are known to hijack the election process. ;)
Minuscule? 27,500 vote is minuscule? You could say very small percentage. But if you recall, Rossi lost to Gregoire by only a hundred or so votes. That was minuscule. 14,000 is more than enough to avoid wasting time on a recount.

And a lot of votes still to be counted are in heavily Democratic King County.

Official results

There was a more recent news account that said 14,000 but still we aren't talking a couple hundred.

Ahh, but that just translates down into the same stupid thing lefties say EVERY TIME THEY LOSE AN ELECTION.

And that is that the populace is just stupid.

You either didn't explain things well enough.. or people are just too stupid to get it.. or the Republican's lied and manipulated them against you.

It's like some bizarre dream where you actually believe that every sane, intelligent person in the world would (and should) embrace you.. it's just that there are always reasons why they don't. They are stupid.. they are manipulated by others.. you just haven't been able to get your message out well enough.

Denial. It can be very ugly. And you won't actually make any real progress until you come to realize that you are in denial about it. You think they embraced you in 2008 when they actually were just rejecting the other side. And now you make excuses and insults to explain your losses.
If you have evidence the Pubbies didn't run on lies, let's see it.

For example: Repeal The Health Care Law? Not So Fast Law
But all those hearings could also have the opposite effect — giving the administration a chance to make its case in favor of the law, a case that often got drowned out during the election campaign.
Death Panels is an outright lie.

Claiming the Pubbies are going to cut the budget but refusing to say where is a lie. They never have and aren't going to now.

Calling a higher tax on income over $200,000 a punishment is a lie, and it fails to mention those same people would still be getting the same tax cut on their first $200,000 in income.

The Pubbies ran on lies. Show us evidence they didn't.

No, that is not why i said you were being silly. I listed the three reasons why you looked that way.

I agree, that those who can pay, should, but it is unfair, perhaps even unethical, to deny health care to those who for what ever reasons, cannot afford it. That is why here in Canada, everyone regardless of income or financial circumstance, is ENTITLED to health care without charge. Yes our taxes are a little higher then your as a result...but i am ok with that, knowing that if i suddenly lost the ability to practice medicine, and had little to no income for a while, i would still get health care. I am glad that should my brother or sister get sick, they would not have to worry if they would be takenn care of, regardless of income, or jealth insurance status.

Indeed so. Note that this has NOTHING to do with the policies of the republican or democratic party. If Republicans kept using the same strategy they would lose votes in just the same way. "You're an idiot! Can we have your vote?" isn't much of a vote-getter for some reason.

No one in the US is denied healthcare

Your taxes are a lot higher

Don't you have a savings in case you can't work

Why don't YOU help your brother and sister

Death panels are true. Who do you think decides on a life saving operation for an old person

Taxing the rich is stupid, who do you think creates ALL the jobs for us "workers"

Get your own evidence, why should we show you anything.
Liberals can go on living in there ignorance.

Wow, what an out and out lie. Please list the membership of one death panel.

Because we don't just accept whatever garbage is shoveled out on FoxNews and Limbaugh. If you can't back up what you're saying the only conclusion is that what you are saying is totally wrong.

And calling the allowance of a planned expiration of top-margin tax cuts of 3-4.6 percentage points on the top 2% of earners "job-killing tax hikes" is also a lie.

If you want to use the term "death panel" that loosely, fine, but you must then recognize that the free market has death panels as well.

Why should I believe anything you say without evidence that what you are saying is true? Sorry if that's a burden to you, but just making stuff up as you go along doesn't cut it around here.

I know it's not death panels, but other than that I don't know. Why don't you tell me?

Currently? Health insurance company bean counters.

I guess technically they're not preventing anybody from actually HAVING the surgery, they're just not going to pay for it. Which in many cases, is the same thing.

"We don't want the government getting between us and our doctors!" But the people who say this seem to think health insurance bureaucracies getting between them and their doctors is just fine and dandy.

Yes but I'm free to choose
So death panels are OK as long as you get to choose which death panel. Got it.

Oh, by the way, as with public education, you still would be free to choose.

This.

Health insurance is socialist already, because if you're healthy, you end up paying for those who are not. What it isn't is a guarantee that even though you're "covered," what you need will be paid for.
