You've become infected with the ideas of primitive militant atheism. This mental deficiency still survives in atheist states, like North Korea, but eventually it will collapse as well, as it did elsewhere.
"Religious wars" got nothing to do with religion per se but with the usual grab for worldly power. In the past, strong political dissent was oftentimes expressed by choosing different religious affiliation.
Transubstantiation is just a symbolic ritual -- no one gets his head chopped off, as it was the case during pagan rituals.
Witch Burnings were directed at persons accused of practicing the Olde Religion, Pogroms were directed at Jews, the alleged Christ Killers, Crusades were directed against Muslims because they controlled the Holy Land and Cathars because they were heretics. All committed in the Name of your God, as were many of the ostensibly "Good" deeds done by the very same people in the Name of your God. All these Slaughters were in essence "Blood Sacrifices" in the name of your religion.
There is no distinction between "worldly power" (i.e. politics) and religion in a Theocratic State, and much of Europe was indeed a Theocratic State until the Revolutionary Period when "Enlightenment" principles finally emerged from the cocoon of their "secret societies" (late 18th to early 20th century).
As an Agnostic, I generally don't like the pejorative application of the term Delusion, but in the case of Obviously Militant Theists like yourself, clearly the term Delusional is the only applicable word to describe the mental deficiency that the majority of humans have been afflicted with for thousands of years and unfortunately still survives among many even in today's ostensible "secular democracies." I doubt this state of mind will ever collapse as long as people cling to their religious beliefs like a security blanket.
Transubstantiation is in fact the literal Magical conversion of Bread and Wine to Christ's Flesh and Blood (that's basically what the word means), and has been a part of the Catholic and Orthodox Eucharist Traditions for well over a thousand years (if not dating back to Early Christianity); though the word itself didn't come into use until the 11th and 12th centuries.
And in fact, one of the many doctrinal disputes of the Reformation surrounded the controversy of whether the Eucharist was a Literal or Symbolic act. So a Majority of Christendom practices either Literal or Symbolic Ritual Cannibalism depending on their beliefs.
Christianity was founded in the Great Pagan and Monotheist Traditions of Blood Sacrifice (yes, it's in the Tanakh--Old Testament to you--also). Indeed Yahweh favoured Abel's Blood Sacrifice over Cain's Vegetable offerings. And indeed, Jesus allegedly offered himself up as a Blood Sacrifice to appease the Deity and become The Redeemer of Mankind. There is nothing at all unique in Christianity surrounding the ancient idea of offering a Blood Sacrifice to appease a Deity.
So please try not to display such ignorance on a site dedicated to intellectual discourse.
